Poll: Upcoming Seasonal Content (Update 8/15)

It looks like we have a clear winner, with the canon story The Help Call (which will probably be renamed). Since I've already put in work on the script, you'll be happy to know that this chapter has some minor ties into the main story that might not be obvious until later in Part Two (there is a mention of something from the scene in Chapter Seven). 

For those who voted for the non-canon scene, fret not. I'll be keeping that one in storage for use at a later date (I already have some scene files built so I wouldn't want them to go to waste). Maybe repurpose it for another Holiday.

And now for something more fun!

In the downtime between releases, I tend to work on other projects. I figured with the holiday season coming up, I might want to whip up a Holiday Special. My thoughts on this would be that I would produce a stand-alone app exclusive to patrons for Holiday scenes. A separate download so you're not downloading the main game all over again. This stand-alone would also include future Christmas/New Years scenes. 

These scenes would then be added to the main game (and therefore available for the public) for the subsequent releases and playable in the Replay Gallery (I would add a tab purely for bonus content).

The plan is for this bonus release to be two scenes. The first-- a canon THEN scene--is already about 70% done. It's a fun little peek into Jack and Carol's lives before the pandemic. 

The second scene, though, is up in the air. I have two distinctly different sequences in mind. This is where the poll comes in. I want to get a feel for what patrons might want to see. 

Option One: Another THEN scene set during the Halloween before the outbreak. Jack is home alone while Carol is off at a party with Naomi. All is quiet until Jack receives a "help" call. This would be canon as well and a more serious sequence.

Edit: From the below comments, a little extra detail: "To expand on it, Carol and Naomi (both 17 at the time) will have pulled the whole "tell the folks we're at the other's place" so they can go off to an unsupervised Halloween party. Of course, when college kids start trying to pressure them into drinking, a call goes out to the one adult who they can trust to not show up guns a blazing."

Option Two: NON CANON NON CANON  NON CANON NON CANON Just wanted to get that out of the way. This would be what I like to call "The Party That Never Was." It's a shindig that gets a little out of hand and even after its over, Jack has to deal with the drunken party goers who've crashed at his place. It would be in the vein of the Alice Dream Sequence, in that it's a but lewd but very not real but also it gets Jack time with ladies he might not interact with during the main game. 

As you can see, the options are vastly different and I wanted to get a feel for what my patrons might want to see.
