With the corpse of 2020 truly buried, lets optimistically look to a brighter year. There's still a lot of the bad stuff happening out there in the world, but maybe there's finally light at the end of the tunnel.
I took to Twitter to share some thoughts on the state of Eddache and it's clear to me I need to find ways to rejuvenate and spice up the channel more. I'm open to suggestions!
But for now, I'm focusing on the next video. I'm looking into the strange era of same-language dubs, where international releases of English language movies get one or two characters redubbed with other English speaking actors, for seemingly no reason? Brits are well aware of Jonathon Ross replacing Larry King in Shrek 2 for example.
Further into 2021 I want to cover topics I've long wanted to tackle - Creative Censorship, How Has Shrek Aged, What Happened To Spoof Movies, Capturing The Spirit Of Casper and The Mystery Of Groundhog Day. So look forward to those.
I've also been streaming on Twitch every week and doing lots of games and hang-outs with Discord so do join us there too, where I also brainstorm video ideas!
Something I've also been working on for some time in 2020 is a comic book. This is very early stages still but I've been working with Dorinah (artist) and Joel Saavedra (letterer) to finally bring a lot time passion project to life. Video Nam is something I've wanted to do for years, I even dabbled in making it a video on Eddache to very cringey results..., about a washed up 90s TV show presenter willing to take drastic action to get his non-career back again! But I've decided I'm not going to sit on this idea any longer. It will take time but no matter how slowly it takes I will get this story told. The attached images are test pages, not directly from the planned book but a practice run for the team, including myself, but provide a glimpse of what's to come.
And there's lots still to come. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you all Patrons, old and new, for your continual support. I couldn't do this without you and I look forward (with a hint of trepidation) what this year has in store for us!
Happy New Year! <3
