(Muhahaha!) ~ After an annoying long hiatus, I’ve finally found enough time and energy to write my promised review amidst the tiny disaster outside the Radio Tower I am tasked to handle. So here it is! It’s a long read, but I wanted to offer a proper review and not just my usual “I enjoyed this! Good work, Waves!” type of response. ~ I really loved this audio and they honestly just get better and better with each new one added to the collection. Everything fits together so perfectly and there’s so much attention to detail it just tickles my brain in a special way since I myself love adding little details that not everyone may notice at first glance in my own writing and creative presentations, so it really resonates with me as an artist. ^_^ The sound mixing quality is superb as always. It’s fun to listen to the noises and speculate which specific object used in the production I’m hearing in that moment and thinking about how much love and effort goes into the planning and creation to make it come to life in such a believable way. The grunting and snorting noises are A+, I was blown away when I heard them because I actually thought it was a recording of a real buck during rut. The emotion is very real and hits just right. It actually feels like Alastor truly is barely hanging on to any composure left during this part! You make for a very convincing cervid, it gets the Doe stamp of approval™️! The aftercare portion was also very wholesome and sweet. I’m very much a fan of Alastor being a big marshmallow with listener, and the snuggles afterwards are very welcomed. (Though don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the rougher stuff too and even the “listener doesn’t know Alastor at such a deep level” themes too as seen with some of the Human Alastor audios, but I have some meta-bias because I’m already bonded to Alastor outside of the scripted scenes, so it still works for my demi ass! X3) All and all, top notch audio as expected from you, mister Waves! No complaints and all praise from the Doe! ^~^ As a fun little bonus, here’s some various little blurbs from inside my head that I wrote down in real time as I was listening. Live thoughts and crack headcanons with Doe™️: Garbage? Literally? Like figurative literally or literally literally? Try his new whiskey? *gets a headcanon idea* What if Asmodeus bought the recipe for Ambrosia from Vixy? The pronunciation of some of these words is spot on for a portrayal of a transatlantic accent. Sounds very authentic. Pheromones? *gets another theory* Did Asmodeus spike the envelope with an aphrodisiac dust? Is that why Alastor is suddenly all riled up? The voice acting on these gets better each new audio! These sound effects and their layering is top notch for immersion! Go in dry? Are we a masochist? Oh that’s not what dry sounds like- *hears antlers growing SFX* Do those cracking sounds hurt? They sound like my hips when I stand up wrong- but you don’t seem to be complaining about it so… *concerning thought* If Alastor has claws, wouldn’t the- erm… *Waves voice* “digital manipulation” hurt for listener? Oh my! I like how his voice got cut off when listener finished the first time. It was unexpected and a fun quick change in pacing. The sound and voice layering is very convincing and works well together. It really feels… well, real! When his tone of voice drops just right? *chefs kiss* The new grunting and snorting noises are flawless!! They sound like a literal stag in rut and it’s impressive how authentic they sound produced by a human voice! I almost didn’t believe it at first! The repeated pleading for listener to hold his antlers and intense desperation in his tone was executed perfectly too. Very convincing and believable emotion. Something I noticed that’s really subtle that I figured I’d finally mention is when Alastor finishes there’s a “spurting” sound effect for it. Attention to detail I guess! XD /pos Oh gosh, the “come here you” and presumably the sounds or Alastor caressing listener is so sweet and such a great way to end off one of these audios. *happy demi noises of approval* The purring is always so cute too and makes me sleepy after an intense audio experience~ All that said… I enjoyed this! good work, Waves!
