The truth is out

Well, I thought this would all be resolved in a few days, but it seems this is only the beginning, so here goes:

I'm seriously ill.

I didn't want to tell anyone because I didn't want to face a barrage of messages from concerned souls. However, now that this is entering its second week, I can't hide the truth any longer. This started last Monday, and I thought it would only last a few days, as is the standard duration for my illnesses. But now, not only is my congestion coming back, but I can't taste or smell anything; I can't enjoy coffee or food or tea. I will have to cancel Thanksgiving.

I have not had any energy to write scripts. And forget recording - I'm congested, and recording already takes a lot out of me physically and mentally. I've been resting, sleeping 10+ hours nightly, drinking plenty of liquids; I went to my doctor, but he said there's nothing he can give me. He gave me "assurance" saying that when he personally lost his sense of taste and smell from illness, it took him an entire year to regain the senses.

And so I sit here, frustrated beyond measure, drinking tea that tastes like hot water only with all my beautiful ingredients for Thanksgiving sitting in the fridge. My spirits are understandably low. I want to write, but my mind is swirling. I'm naturally worried about my lost senses. Cooking is one of my passions, and I've been rendered useless, culinary-wise. I don't know what to do at this point.
