Your frustration sounds understandable. Sad to hear about your hand. Especially since you work on visual art that must be a real bummer. But glad your people are understanding. I don't know the deal with your grandparents but maybe they are just trying to connect to you but older generations often don't manage to get that intention across leading to situations like this where they still end up emphasizing their role as your elder Take care!

I’ve got time, and those who I’m doing it for are “my people” (aside from you lovely guys and gals) in the chronic illness community, so they understand if I need an extra week (doc appt to see my hand healing nicely/fully on mon). However sometimes one wishes to strangle one’s grandparents becuase they want you to explain in explicit detail how and why you used and learned each medium. And then tell you they already knew. /end rant. I do not mean to hiss and growl and raise my hackles. Just… ugh.
