100 years of stony sleep

Anya was a princess, but her soul was a free spirit, so when her father told her that he was going to marry one of her political allies, 30 years her senior, she tried to escape a few times, but was futile. Her father knew very well her, so he reinforced the castle guard, and she always was caught before leaving the castle walls.

Desperated, she decided use one of the spell books of her late mother, but unfortunatelly the available ingredients were rare and few, and only in two days her future husband would arrived to marry with her, so she decided use the only potion that she could do, a petrification potion. She managed to escape to one of the secret rooms of the castle, where her mother kept some of the possessions that she wanted to hide from her father, placed herself on an altar that she had previously prepared, released her hair and braids, posing reclining on it, and wearing only jewelry to make her more attractive . She took a couple of gulps of the potion and sighed, waiting. If she had made the potion right, the effect would last between 80 and 100 years, long enough to run away from her father and husband. She hoped that if they found it, they would just think it was an ordinary statue.

Just a few heartbeats later, a chill paralyzed her and she stopped breathing, while a feeling of cold and rigidity appeared in her stomach that spread in a matter of seconds throughout her body, and invaded her mind with a deep feeling of peace.

When barely a part of her head remained of her, she felt so calm and relaxed that she almost wished the petrification would last forever. The only reason she didn't do it was that before finishing that thought, the potion finished its work, and where Anya was before now there was only beautiful carved stone.

Did Anya achieve her purpose? Who knows... maybe we will find out another day...

Today I have been experimenting with Blender, and I think that I found a way to fix one of the big problems of the statues in Daz Studio, that the hairstyles don't look solid, but like floating sheets, because that is the real nature of the hairstyles in Daz. After this, although it isn't perfect and doesn't work with every hairstyle, depends of each case, I think that I can make better statues :)
For now, here you have a example about how looks, with a petrification almost done, and finished. Tell me what do you think about the result :)
