almost there! Big Flexing coming Monday!

a combination of my day job and my tendency to have my imagination take over on these projects after I start making them is causing this one to take longer to render than I thought. What started as a goofy little 20-second comedy clip has ballooned into
5+ minutes of muscle-growing hilarity.
The good news is, the final render will be done in about half an hour, which means I can edit it tonight and tomorrow, so it should be up late tomorrow night at the latest. Coming Monday!
And in other, even more exciting news (for me, anyway)....I just got word that the newest version of my main rendering program is finally going to support fbx motion data. Why is this important? Because the motion capture system I spent way too much money on last year only exports fbx data, so it's been basically useless to me...until now. So, theoretically, when this new software version is released (late Oct/Nov), all I have to do is the set up for the rigging for the model I base the MKU characters on...and then I'll be able to motion capture their movements, which should speed up my output by orders of magnitude. I'm VERY excited about this.

Yeah, I'm at the whims of several factors that influence what gets done first. Sometimes I'm waiting on voice work, other times what start off as "small, tide-us-over projects" turn into bigger ones as inspiration hits during the making of it, and other times some of them get so big and bloated it just stops being fun and get to be more like work -- all of this determines the order of release. Plus, the demands of a day job that has an unpredictable schedule and sometimes slams me with a month of 15 and 16-hour days (like currently). The rig is rendering more often than not, so I'm just hoping to keep the supply chain moving. ;)
