I'M ALIVE!

Hello all -- I'm sorry I was gone so long; things went badly there for a bit and I was forced to seek out some fairly intensive medical aid. I don't know for sure if I had this dreaded disease that is haunting us all (contrary to what some people in power like to say in front of cameras, there are not enough tests to go around and here they won't test you unless you're near death, and I didn't get quite that bad). I had the symptoms, that's for certain. I still do, actually, but I'm much better now.
Now, I want to say two things. First, I hope everyone here and your families are well and can stay safe. and two, THANK YOU. Thank you for choosing to stick around while things are upside down and I was gone for a few weeks. I'm going to make it up to you by posting as a much higher rate than normal for the rest of the month in an effort to get caught up and offer my sincere gratitude.

Glad to hear you're ok! Being ill is never great at the best of times, let alone being ill enough to need to go to the hospital *and* during a time like this. Almost not sure whether to say it's good that you didn't get "it" or perhaps good that you did and recovered, since at least now if you did you should have the antibodies for however long those last. But either way, whatever it was it's definitely very good that you're feeling better! Stay safe!

I don't want to make it political (I have VERY strong opinions but even I'm sick of hearing them)....but I think any reasonable person could agree that with what we pay for medical care in this country, the medical system has been exposed as a disgrace. The testing debacle is just the newest evidence.
