I really understand Juwon. People change a lot just in one year, now imagine 10 years, that is a very long time. As Dal said, even blood relatives feel awkward and like strangers after not seeing them for a while. It was heartbreaking seeing how, over the years, Juwon was losing her spark. When she was talking to Dal, she was saying how she thought she would be happier than she is that they were back, which just shows how disconnected she feels with them. You can see how they were contacting less and less, and eventually she stopped waiting and looking at her phone. Imagine waiting excitedly every year for your favorite people to visit, just to be let down and told next year. It causes you to lose trust and stop believing anything they say. Juwon feels abandoned and forgotten, and it is expected of her to have resentment and to want to move on. They can't expect Juwon to welcome them with open arms just because they finally decided to be back for good. Especially if they haven't communicated why they haven't been visiting or keeping in touch as much or at all.
