Not gonna lie, the warning system on the Discord is too sensitive. I got a bot warning for mentioning murder while watching an anime about murder like ??? It was an anime like 30 other people were watching too. I know a few people who were banned and the general consensus is mistrust towards the mods. The appeal form is great, but I think Identifying and addressing the staff issues will have a greater impact on Discord user retention and trust. Is there a system in place for users to evaluate the staff? If not, that would definitely help.

Ive not gotten banned n i barely speak in the discord(my favorite room is the audio request) but my 2cents on this is, it looks like youve been able, in providing this process of appeal, youve been able to do something very real and impirtant to the progress of YY operations. This has resulted in isolating or finding where the drama llama lives in the house. This xan be equivalent to " the calls are coming from inside the house." This process has poked some wounds for people and reignited some ire and disdain. In so doing this can also potentially drag issues back to the stage where we enter into a kind of recordskip reporting of issues. As YY and the staff work through these reports, please take in mind that (as much as i can recall) staff has been adjusted and amended 3x(and i think i been here for 1yr) the other thing is, YY is moving forward under a fluidity of open change, meaning this appeal process could potentially get adjusted after this round, taking into account all the pointers n issues raised. This process is slow and steady, and for those appealing, understandably frustrating. Perhaps staff protocol needs to be amended, or re populated again, who knows. But as you appeal, please recognize that Cece is trying to move away from being the only cook in the kitchen when it comes to admin stuff. Staff is there to help her as well as you but also staff needs to recognize that the work they do, WILL BE taken as a reflection of the YY brand AND Cece herself. Staff use their free time to help out but this can not be treated as a leisure activity for clout, based on the growing success/popularity of Ceces work. Being an admin leg of such a beast doesn't have to be complicated so long as staff understands that any hiccups made will inevitably be blamed on Cece, and members of the community need to also keep in mind that admins are people as well and mistakes have clearly been made n we are all trying to find a comfy way for this community to thrive safely. Im just writing this bcs the comment section reads like the drama we just shook off, of people throwing shade n he said she saids around, demanding Cece to do something about it, when Cece is currently trying to go at this in a way that is both safe for their workload and work ethic. If she finds she needs a new way to vet staff, she then has to figure out a fair HOW/process to do it, which can take(more) time. If you want an appeal, fill out the form as extensively as possible, if you still want to discuss your appeal after youve sent it in, make a post asking a staff member to email or chat with you. There are more community members than there are staff, on a general blanket for all of this process, extreme patience is needed. And im one to talk, i can barely wait for my microwave to beep for popcorn. Just try n recognize the move forward despite the molasses pace, is for everyones benifit. Please dont get it twisted, your feelings are ABSOLUTELY VALID. Just try not to let them ground your own progress towards an appeal. Ok imma shut up now thnxbaieeeee.

Some of y’all writing out essays so lemme just say this... I personally had an unpleasant passive aggressive conversation with someone named Blakely. So I gave back the same energy cuz I’m was confused who the f**k they were talking to. Instead banning people on discord for ridiculous reasons try disciplining or changing your staff cuz their not helping. Especially if people stay complaining about them.

I'd recommend googling it to be honest, as I may not be the best at communicating it. It sounds like it might be best if you just submit an appeal form with your info so we can reach out to you instead.

You can just rejoin, no problem. If you were banned, please submit the form as attached and we can review the reason for the ban and let you know via dms.

Hello, I wanted to clarify, that I was banned for someone else's harmless mistake, because I own a server that someone posted some sinner art, and because I did not want to be that controlling parent I was banned. On ther server we are 18+, we are adults, and we should be treated like that. I do want to state that I WAS friends with people on staff, I saw them change, and I myself didn't vocally say this but they changed. I had a meeting with two of the staff members one of the members is not on staff anymore but, I brought the concerns that not only myself but other people had, all I wanted to do was help them and the members. I tried to reach out to staff members who I thought were my friends only to find out they unfriended me and some of them ignore me completely, or others made me feel like I was a bother. The damage has been done, people have been hurt and betrayed, myself included. I know that you think this may be a new leaf, but the damage is still there. I know that they may be trying all they can to win back the trust of the members but at this point, the damage is done. If the staff really wants to earn the trust of the members maybe try having a fair staff system where members can choose who represents them, on a server I one called the Sinner's Ranch (It is not mine, I created it but it is for everyone) I make it really adamant that if the members do not feel like I am up to par, that I would give ownership to one of the other admins and step down, The members do deserve a voice and they all deserve to be heard, I AM UPSET THAT I DID GET BANNED BUT AT THIS POINT IT IS NOT ABOUT ME IT IS ABOUT THE OTHER PEOPLE HERE THAT HAVE BEEN HURT BY THE CURRENT STAFF. Cece you’re literally the sweetest human ever I swear, and I have to say just from briefly talking with you that you’re one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met and I love you sm for that, and everything you do for us 🤍 I am super happy there’s an unban form and an appeal form for the warnings but I do have to say that I do kinda hope you can revaluate the staff a little bit... I love the server and I can’t tell you how many people I’ve met in there that I truly believe are always there for me and provide a sense of security for me which I’ll always be so grateful for that and the community you’ve brought together🥺 I do have to admit though, since I’ve been in the server since it reopened after the changes were made, I have seen so many people be kicked and banned for (in my opinion) little to no reason. I’ve noticed recently since I would usually talk in the loveseat almost daily, that I recognize some people yes, but the people I met in the beginning when I originally joined aren’t there (because of being kicked or banned) or simply don’t talk anymore. I have been offered, and did join a few other servers with a lot of yh members who have been kicked/banned/are too scared to talk anymore so I could speak with them again. While I haven’t had any personal issues with the staff, other than a few (again in my opinion) passive aggressive remarks. I have heard stories from some of those people who were (my opinion) wrongfully banned/kicked, and they have had a lot of struggles with the staff. I voiced my frustration and anxiety to a staff member about this and she was able to help me, I’m forever grateful to her for that. Though I believe that is a bias statement since I was friends with many of the server officers before they became staff. I would like to go into further detail about what I have heard and the allegations that I have been told about, but I don’t have their consent to share their stories and I would not be using names. Nor would I want to make those stories extremely available to those who might not want to read it. Regardless of the situation, Cece I have no idea if you’re going to read this or take any of this to heart but I just want to say that you have created a second home for me and I’m sure many others. But like all homes there can be some issues, but with time and a few changes I believe it can be resolved and brought back to the safe haven I remember it being for me. Note; I was personally kicked from the server before back in February I believe, this can be considered bias towards those who have been kicked/banned only because I’ve felt what I assume they felt as well, scared. Trigger warning for anxiety and panic attacks; (possibly I’m not going into much detail) When I got my second warning I voiced my correct to a staff member who is a very close friend of mine and is a server officer. She helped me through the original panic attack and made me feel safe once again because she assured me that I would be alright. She suggested we watch anime in one of the voice chats which I still consider to be one of the most fun times I’ve ever had in any server. Once it wrapped up a little, a few other people joined including some of the mods, we all agreed to play some games. It was an extremely fun night and I hope it can happen again at some point. Though my fun didn’t exactly last forever since I went to sleep extremely happy, and woke up to being kicked from the server. It was a brief comment I had made about marijuana when we were joking around in game. I started shaking and I physically dropped my phone because the house was literally a safe space for me, I could speak freely there and I would be accepted. But I had been kicked because of that comment, which just made my anxiety sky rocket. (Mind you yes that is part of the rules and I broke that rule to not mention drugs, I take full responsibility for that and I don’t blame anyone for their actions. This is simply my story and what happened to me so my perspective) A few days later, I did end up talking with a few of my friends who had asked me where I was since I wasn’t in the loveseat at the times I usually was present after a few days of me being kicked. They told me that any mod or admin they asked, they said they didn’t know what happened and that I was “probably busy” which of course is valid if they don’t know, I obviously don’t think everyone in the server knows me or anything about what I’m doing at most times. But I did get told that a few of the mods who did know exactly what happened to me said that as well. I believe it was a passive aggressive thing simply because I was being loud and I was really confused so I asked a lot of dumb questions about the game they had been playing which, I assume was very annoying to listen to. Then I was invited to the other servers because the house was closed for the time being. That’s when I was able to find out that a lot of the friends that I was told were “just busy with school/work” (the ones I had met in the beginning of the server reopening) were kicked/banned and no one ever talked about it. This is just my experience and I do honestly expect to have some criticism and hate coming towards me for this. Truly, again as much as I love the mods and admins, I wouldn’t be surprised if I got banned/got a warning/or simply pissed them off by saying this. I just wanted to share my story with it and my opinions on the matter. Again please take this for what you will, I am bias because of my experience with the warnings/being kicked. I am in the server now, and yes I do still love everyone in there and occasionally talk in the loveseat or the den, just not nearly as much as I would’ve before. But anyways, I hope this served as an okay example of at least how I reacted when I got kicked from the server and the reasoning why I think the staff should be reevaluated to a degree if it’s possible.
