I would say that I was inspired by the situation I was in, I was stuck and had to do something or I'd end up homeless, so I started at first by necessity as a last ditch effort to stay afloat. long and short of it is: I tuned my voice to my comfort range from an early age, I would sing a song in varying ranges and gradually tried to push the range limit but in a very slow and gentle way. Other than that was impression and canary style of just trying to study and replicate, of course it took a very long time to see results though so don't give up ! and make sure it never hurts!

It's a very slow to be honest, I would say that patience is key. I've been practicing since I've had memories, and I'd say it took till near the end of HS for my voice to be even remotely convincing. It wasn't so much that I learned at any age in particular, it was more a very long process. At the start I sounded like what you would imagine a 13yo girl trying to sound like a man sounds like. It certainly wasn't very good, but everyone starts there. It was the many many years later of daily practice that things started to work out in the process of learning different ways to use my voice. I think its a very slow and steady approach that will get you the goals. Oh! If you're asking when I started to be able to do vaguely male ranges, it was hmm, probably at around 16-17? But I would say it was quite limited and took until a couple of years back to really get the hang of it.

So I would say specifically singing and tuning your voice to keyboard apps. The biggest thing you need is time. It's a very slow process that will take potentially years to see much difference. The key is daily practice and that you never overdo it, its very painful and uncomfortable if you do, and overdoing it can cause you to lose your voice completely. So please be careful and remember its more like the tortoise and less like the hare! Please never give up!

I would say the key is daily practice, find your comfort range and then practice on the edges of it! Never hurt or make your voice sore! Take your time and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Remember that acting is the same as feeling real feelings. You can't act without feeling! So don't be afraid to really get into it! I can definitely try to though I guess the reason I haven't is it wasn't a very crazy practice regimen it was just over a very long time. My setup is a Neuman u-87, and my programs are adobe creative cloud :3 Advice would be to practice a tiny bit every single day! Vocal depth can be variable but it will take a lot of time to figure out the little nuances to get it where you want it to go! It won't be easy and it should never ever hurt. It is all about patience and care!

oh! So long story short, daily practice! Be sure it doesn't hurt but try and tune to a comfort range, then go to the deepest comfort range you have, practice for no more than a few hours a day at first till you get used to it. Remember it shouldn't ever hurt or feel bad. Its only possible to my knowledge if you practice over a very long time and don't overdo it! Tips? I would say that voice acting at the end of the day is acting! Make sure when you say a word you don't just say it you feel it! It should always feel like something deep down!

OH! I think it was definitely inuyasha and just the entire beautiful story of the isekai style. I really got obsessed with ones that could take me far far away. Because I was mostly cooped up in my hospital room for the first year after losing all my memories to the TBI, after that it was already a huge piece of who I was, I loved high fantasy and romance!

What’s your favorite character to voice?

oooo good idea~! Also my inspiration of him was deeply rooted in a storyline where he accidentally killed shigaraki in the ua invasion arc near the beginning. Imagine if you will, the entire class saw him blow up shiggy right then and there into a million pieces, they couldn't see him the same, he'd also not be able to get past the ptsd easily. Then when he finally couldn't handle it (cause deku overthinks a lot of things) He would gradually distance himself from them, I was then thinking that AFO would come into things, especially if AFO is his father kind of plot twist. In which case deku would blame those who saw him as a monster, those who never looked at him the same again. The eyes of pity and fear, he would probably blame and hate all might most of all, because even he couldn't look at him the same after he killed. Thus in this timeline it is more that deku is taking revenge on all might and those who in his guilt ridden mind, all see him as a monster, he would basically end up that monster. Saying that his friends are those who truly accept him even after everything. Thus the LoV would likely be like family to him.

Either via lacking inspiration/creativity or voice fidelity!

I think it was my love of the characters and the love of people. It was a way that I could connect with people despite me, myself, being extremely shy. I didn't know how to connect with others so I used my voice and stories to try and connect with the hearts of those who also loved the characters! If that makes sense!

What was it like when you first discovered you can reach such a deep range? How did you react?

Asmr, stories, the capture of feelings into words, it all was things that I didn't really have or understand. In a certain way its like trying to learn about myself through the portrayal of characters. I think what inspired me originally was just to not feel so alone in a place that I was almost perfectly isolated. However, I would also say that the channel and pat specifically came as a desperate last attempt at preventing myself from being homeless, as I couldn't for the life of me find a job outside at the time. So I put everything I am into making scenes and stories that contained my whole heart. I admit I have a long way to go but I will always try and keep improving on capturing the real feelings and believability >:3

Originally, I began learning shortly after surviving a TBI, which left me without my memories prior. I made voices as a sort of coping mechanism for how isolated I was. My parents would be gone for weeks at a time, and I was a thirteen year old girl who had to fend for herself mostly. My absolute favorite things to do back then were to play with my pets (had a boxer pup + Jack russel And 5 cats!) reading books, and then finally was to play in my imagination! I would make voices for different characters, but anime really really inspired me to try and make more accurate voices! So over time I just practiced obsessively and eventually made progress little by little!
