At 39:43 when zewu jun said "I just confirmed it" I think it was because how fast Lan zhan went inside when the juniors were dissing wei wuxian. Like THE second childe lan would not do that for anyone else but only to defend wei wuxian lol and zewu jun was aware of that hehe

During their life together in those 3 years he definitely started caring abt Xingchen, because he finally felt someone's kindness and found that he desperately needed it to survive. But of course, he was incapable of having something so precious and not destroying it. Also, Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan's story is very similar to Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan's. Unfortunately though, their ending was much worse than WangXian's, and they were never given a second chance... Those last few episodes were truly heartbreaking.... At least, Song Lan will forever carry Xingchen's eyes so he'd never be truly alone ❤️
