Screenshots can be faked, people can lie, but let’s not also blindly follow ANYBODY even if we like their content. Let’s wait until things become clear. And no, an apology isn’t admitting to doing the accused act. If somebody says I made them uncomfortable and I apologize, that doesn’t mean I did something wrong. Was what happened inappropriate? Yes. But it was not grooming. Misidentifying it is only harmful to real victims of grooming. This is not grooming— and I feel like that word was chosen because it’s more damning, but what I saw and what the alleged victim describes in not grooming. This is all rather timely considering the funamation incident. I’m not jumping to conclusions on either side, but I don’t see grooming and I’m not going to crucify Cece before I have evidence. I feel Cece apologized because she wanted to make it better, she apologized for making her feel uncomfortable, but not for grooming. Because it’s not. People are taking the fact that she apologized to mean that she is guilty— which is not necessarily the case. It seems more like she realized that regardless of her intention someone felt hurt and she wanted to apologize for that. I don’t see any definitive proof to substantiate grooming allegations and I certainly don’t believe all the people coming forward after the initial person because people hate her and are ready to latch onto this. Not to mention the initial accuser is encouraging people to come forward even without evidence which is gonna lead to false allegations. Im not super active but I’ve caught wind of the recent drama that’s happening it breaks my heart but alas I know people can photoshop things it happens.
