Okay I'm not finished with the audio as I'm posting this but I love how much this audio can be summed up by "I'm crazy, you're cute, fuck chuuya."

I've also read it and recommend it. I watched the first season of BSD and found a copy if No Longer Human in the airport bookstore.

I know everyone is fangirling over the audio (as they should because Y E S), but imma be a nerd here and just comment that Dazai and the whole cast of BSD are late writers and all of their abilities align with their works or their writing style. In case no one knew lol- Dazai is my favorite BSD character as well as author and I am extremely happy with the details of Dazai’s character and ability. No Longer Human was his final book and was assumed to be a semi-autobiography (a work in which true events take place but details are changed by the writer) and it’s a Piece where he disqualifies himself as a human being. And so the way I interpreted his ability, he’s disqualifying your ability like he’s disqualified himself from the rest of the world. (: It’s an incredible book and if you read, you will find many similar personality traits both Dazai the anime character and the MC (Yazo) have. The book will paint a very good picture as to where the show got inspiration on his character and tbh it gives you a lot of insight on the artist, Dazai, himself. I really hope everyone looks into their favorite characters’ work from the show as it just feels like you become a little bit closer to the character they love and even explains why Asagiri made everyone the way they did. wowwww this was a dream come true. “you’re attractive, very very gorgeous” had me literally hitting the rewind button like ten times, and the hushed voice was absolutely perfectttt and so calming... and oh my god the lost in the eyes part very literally made my heart flutter. (i did kind of hope that the nickname would be belladonna but I get that it’s not rly gender neutral — mystery is super cute) i do think the characterization could be improved a bit, a little less chaotic and a little more gentlemanly — i know he isn’t often serious but canonically he generally comes across more composed even when he is messing around. but overall this was an absolute dream come true n i can’t wait to see what you have planned next ♥️

I tried to approach him in a sarcastic tone, putting forth the cockiness in a false positive, I goofed up a bit cause I was thinking “how would he approach romance?” And then attempted to fill the blanks! He isn’t so much meant to be confident as he is intrusively expecting an outcome and teasing it. (Admittedly I love his interactions with chuuya and maybe I overdid the chaotic nature XD, but I will learn and improve for next time!) though a good bit of the reason I didn’t try and go toward his outwardly dark side was to not trigger people, as earlier on he has a lot more to do with SH and terrible self depressive things.
