An moment that makes me sad as well my family is whenever we had to put down an four legged pet due to age or injuries which makes my mom cry the most was when my oldest brother dog passed away an Great Dane

Especially with how much you love what you do. I'm glad you won your court case and that you were able to get another better company

She had been unemployed for several months and things she was telling me she was doing while I was at work wasn't adding up (claims she slept all day but her car I had just gassed up the night before was down to half a tank, says she's going to a friend's house but I ran into that friend who said she hadn't spoken to her in weeks, etc). Became super suspicious when she sent me a text that was obviously not meant for me and then tried to play it off like it was (she texted that she couldn't wait to see me again and that she needed "it" real bad....I'm your husband, that's a weird way to word "I can't wait for you to get home so we can have some fun"). Decided to do a little forensic investigation of her iPhone backup while she was with her sister in Clearwater, FL and found the motherload of pictures, texts, emails, etc that showed that not only was she having an emotional affair with her ex "first love" but then also sleeping with a former co-worker (and one of my friends). This was in 2016. It took a suicide attempt, a year of intensive therapy, and moving 3 states away to get myself right and heal from the damage it caused. Still have some trust issues but my current wife is helping me through that.

2024-09-20 19:23:05 +0000 UTCI've been working in my current career for about 8 and a half years now. I worked with the first agency for 6 years. I help individuals with mental and physical disabilities live independently. There is a local 3rd party group that come in once a month to every individuals home and make sure needs are being met etc. They are less than ideal at this because they only see the individuals for maybe half an hour once a month each case manager have several individuals on their work load. This often put us at odds with them because we are in the home, with the individuals day in and day out and we know them, talk to them, spend our time with them. Naturally, they become like family. I found myself getting fired one morning because one of these case managers (who, for context, wasn't even my individuals case manager) saw us at Walmart and the individual wanted to stay in the car while I ran in to get a mother's day card for his guardian. In and out in less than 2 minutes. The case manager called my boss and told them that I had abandoned the individual in my car for upwards of 15-20 minutes. I was devastated. I couldn't fathom why someone would go out of their way to lie about what had happened and even more hurt that my employer, who had given me employee of the year multiple years, would believe it and choose to fire me without even talking to me or so much as investigate. I was lost. But I ended up taking them to court for unemployment since our state is an at will employment state (they don't HAVE to give a reason for termination) and during the proceedings, they were caught coaching each other and tampering with documentation. That coupled with the security footage showing that I was in and out and not only did my direct supervisor get fired, but the case manager for the 3rd party company was fired and I was reimbursed for the time and pay lost and now have been with my current agency since, where I started day one making more per hour than I was after 6 years with the previous. It was an incredibly difficult situation and brought me lower than I had been in a long time. But things worked out for the best!
