Added 2024-03-24 17:00:03 +0000 UTCLet me tell you about my baby Jiraiya AKA (Sasquatch or Squantch) she was a feral little baby at 4 months old when I adopted her from Pet'smart. At the time I was looking for a black kitten (I really want a Sphinx but it's really difficult to find breeders close to you, they also cost an arm and a leg) I was checking my local shelter's and online pet finders. I was SO heartbroken when the little kitten I was looking forward to getting fell through. (These people sold the kitten from underneath me even though I paid a deposit T.T)
About a week after that had happened I stumbled upon Jiraiya (her Pet'smart name was Sam) she wanted to play SO badly and was a super hyper little shit, however she still has her feral quirks. She doesn't like to be held, and she wants to cuddle when she wants to cuddle. My old lady loves being held and will cuddle you ALL the time so it's something new for me. I've had her for little over a year now and while she's afraid of loud noises and people (until she gets used to you) she likes to photobomb me and see what I'm doing DESPITE being camera shy HAHA! Also she's a mama's girl 100% until she schmoozes her father for attention or food. Usually when I'm at work.
Sometimes things fall into our lap when we least expect it. I still want a black kitten but I'm very thankful to have my little cheeto puff, she acts very orange and it cracks me up.

Although I'd been wanting a puppy, I told her okay on two conditions: 1. Her name is Moxie; MOX for short, and 2. she needs to live up to that name. My wife has this magic ability to manifest future reality and she immediately found us the perfect kittie. Little Mox has zero fear and she has the boys wrapped around her toe bean.

2024-03-24 17:37:03 +0000 UTCI got two rescue cats (Socks and Brian) a couple of years ago to replace my 17 year old rescue cat PC (stands for Pound Cat cos that's what his name was on the piece of paper) who sadly passed away and love them so much. Socks (the name she came with) was abandoned in a local farmers dairy very young and I bottle fed her which was actually perfect timing as I was only two or three weeks away from picking up Brian (was called Samson but i decided to name him after Brian Setzer from the Stray Cats. Plus Brian is a funny name for a cat) from the cat rescue place. They both get on so well and love sharing the same bed.
