When one becomes a god it's not just an addition of power. Based on your method of ascension, the truths that you imbibe, your fundamental nature can change. Diverge further and further from mortality not just in body but in mentality as well. Furthermore, age in itself is a factor. When you live long enough, things feel more transitionary, and perspectives tend to change.
