Basically, what I was going for with my wedding look. I originally wanted a black dress that was very elaborate, however, because I wear things like that all the time, a lot of the black and even red dresses I tried on just felt like normal attire. I wasn't getting that feeling that you heard about other people getting, and it was very frustrating for me at that moment. A big part of me was worried about settling for a gown because I couldn't find what I was looking for. My friends had suggested trying on off white options to see if that would help me find a dress. (I really didn't want white)
I stumbled upon this champagne πΎ colored dress and fell IN LOVE with the design. It had all the right embellishments and lace design and had a beautiful cut for the chest and shoulders. I also really REALLY wanted a mermaid style gown. (I'd tried on ball gown types, and they just swallowed me whole) I was also very excited to learn this dress had been heavily discounted because it was "out of style/season" I definitely started tearing up when I tried this one on and had that feeling of "Holy crap this is it" the wonderful lady who was helping me did express that the particular design of the embellishments is based off of victorian/extravagant gowns because I was struggling with the color being so close to white. She then placed the gown next to a white dress (like pure white), and I was very happy to see that, yes, there was a BIG difference in color.
Just wanted to share a little bit of my life with you guys since yall know how private I am about things.
