Not only was this one of the COOLEST lodging places I've ever stayed at, but it was also the darkest place I've been to. The stars looked SO amazing, I've never seen so many before. It was also super freaking sweet to see the Nebula clouds (which again I've never seen). The only downside was it was 105° and we did a 6 mile hike....im surprisingly not as sunburned as I thought I was going to be, but holy moly do you go through SO much water. It definitely gets really difficult really fast to hike in that heat. Did a scenic drive and found ourselves at the Rio Grande River, which was warm, and I REGRET not bringing my bathing suit!
Finding mountain lion tracks was a little spooky (found twice, actually), and the cave hotel was absolutely mind-blowing. It's legit built into the side of a mountain and is absolutely worth EVERY PENNY! If you EVER get the chance, you should 100% do it.
I apologize for the absence this week, but this is what was happening. It was nice to unplug for a few days and just exist.
