Friday was my two year anniversary with AEW. I'm eternally grateful for everything I've been able to do. (Including all Darks/Elevations) I treat every dark like it's a main event even if it's only a minuet. It's important to me that every match is a good one. (Realistically that doesn't always happen, not everyone has chemistry and some people drop the ball, and some just are not good dance partners)
I wanted to vent how hurtful it is seeing people comment on my post that they're suprised I still work there, that I should be released, a pointless hire etc. These things are so hurtful. 😔 I understand that I do have plenty to give, even when people make the joke about "giving" to catering. I wish I could articulate what this does to my mental state. How it makes me compare myself to others, but on the other hand it forces me to really push myself and prove people wrong. Sometimes it makes me shut down entirely. Questioning why.
Today though, as I was checking notifications, I broke down. I'm crying, a big ole train wreck because I'm excited about being with AEW for two years. Living my life long dream and people are so desperately trying to shatter that dream. I'm not sure what I did to deserve being hated so much....but I'm really lucky to have amazing people like you guys in my life. Thank you for being patient as I grow as a performer, as I transition from being "green as goose shit" to actually being a worker. No one sees how much I abuse myself behind close doors. My training sessions being anywhere from 3 to 6 hours long 3 days a week, on top of match studying and just walking through sequences at home. Wrestling the "invisible man" if you will. Being back on a gym routine, 3 to 5 days a week, one to two hours each time. The amount of times I watch my matches and critique the SHIT outta of em to the point where I don't like anything I do. But then I remember there are people like you guys. Those who genuinely want to see (not just myself) but others grow. You don't wish failure upon anyone, let alone trying to get some released just because.
I know it's beating a dead horse, but the entertainment world is really difficult, and it's one big mind game that I just don't always have the energy for.
If you do anything today, please be kind. You don't know where someone's mental state is.

When there's an announcement that you're going to be in a match, my whole day is brightened. I was screaming when I watched your match with Britt Baker. That superkick with the thumbtacks was amazing. When Britt stuffed them in your mouth I was, like, there's no way this is gonna happen. Then it did. Before that match I already adored you. 2022-06-19 05:26:13 +0000 UTCI remember the first time I saw Abadon on AEW and was just blown away that I got to witness something like this. As a nerd. As a horror fan. As a wrestling fan. It. Was. Amazing! Subsequent Dark matches followed back in the day when they didn't post who was fighting ahead of time and whenever Abadon showed up it was easily the highlight of the show. And legit cheered when the news broke that Abadon was signed. The thing I've always loved about AEW is that they're built on characters. Not these manufactured/demographic-grabbing schticks that some other companies create but real homemade and homegrown characters. Personally, I want to live in a world where you have a wrestling company that features artists like Orange Cassidy and Abadon on major outlets and major movie studios put out blockbusters starring a talking raccoon and their companion, the talking tree. But that's just me. Long story short, please keep doing what you're doing and know that there are more fans than haters out here. And Twitter sux (Even though we all use it). Also, can't wait to buy the hell out of the Abadon action figure!

They were dog shit in the ring to start out. What made them get to where they are is they constantly wanted to learn and grow. I’m not trying to say you’re dog shit but the way to get better is the desire to get better. You’ve got the drive like them and you’ll continue to be better. You already have the right mindset and attitude for it. Keep growing, shut out the critics because as you said, those who want to be the best already are their own harshest critic.
