Fitness Journey Update

I think im permanently stuck at this physique. These last 15 to 20 pounds (I fluctuate losing and gaining 3 to 5 pounds) refuse to come off. I know people say there is a plateau period but I kid you not for the last 2 or 3 months this is where I have been. It's very discouraging and I'm not sire how to fix issue? I follow quite a few fitness models and trainers that do state this is quite common and changing up your diet or workout routine can definitely help. However, when I change my diet, it definitely messes with my body. Usually bloating and feeling uncomfortable, and believe it or not makes my psoriasis break out. 🙃

I know I've come a long way from where I was when I first began wrestling, let alone when I debuted on Dynamite for the first time. I definitely accept I will never look like any of the other beautiful women on our roster but I still want to feel and look good.

Someone did ask about my workout routine which I will share in the Q and A video. I'm very excited to get to work on this for you guys! ☺ I'm nervous because in super awkward...but I think it'll be fun!

Yep, anytime my diet changes I'll either have a break out or the current healing ones will just freak out and take longer to heal. It's SUCH a damn process.

Abadon

The plateaus are hard. Last year I was at 122kg then changed my diet and started walking and lost 11 kilos with virtually no effort over about a month, but I was unable to get under 110 for the next 6 months. I was just stuck there. Then I got very slack, work was crazy busy and I went back up to 120kgs and have been here since. It's hard but you're doing great.

I totally understand the psoriasis problem. It's the main reason I don't wear shorts (it's really noticeable on my lower legs to the point of cracking + bleeding). Even slight changes in my diet causes major issues for weeks. It sucks.

Zombae will forever slay, i get pumped everytime i hear that music hit, just keep doing what makes you happy regardless of what the naysayers will say, you will forever be beautiful, have an amazing day 🎃🎃🎃

Alex Mark

FWIW, 2 straight nights of Abadon feeding on souls is a great start to October. Keep killing it.

You look awesome. I have hit plateaus like that several times and it’s always discouraging in the moment, especially when your brain tells you you’re not achieving what you want. But years later when I look back at photos from times like that, I can see change that seems so clear in retrospect! Perspective is so mercurial. And again: you look rad and I will always mark the hell out every time I see you in a match.

Brendan J

Totally agree you can't please everyone. She always look amazing. Love your post about her 👌👌

First off. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the way you look now. Second and I’m being honest about this when I say in my humble opinion you’re way more beautiful then any woman currently on the AEW roster. There’s a difference between what society deems beautiful verses how you feel about yourself. Also Idk if you remember back when you were starting this journey I had mentioned how you were becoming an inspiration to me well I’m proud to say it was bc of you sharing that journey that I was motivated to start my own and in 6 months I have already lost 50 pounds so thank for being an inspiration. I did it by doing this thing called the Whole30 and just continued it after the 30 days was over. I too suffer with psoriasis and found bc I was limiting the types of ingredients I was eating that I actually didn’t break out as much as I use to. Anyway to sum it all all never doubt yourself and always remember that for every hater there’s 5 people out there that love you. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in this coming month

Absolutely agree with commenters above- the plateau is real and results, like a zombie, can slow to a crawl but you are going to reach your goal because you are relentless, because you are unstoppable and because you are the first Abadon and not the next [insert wrestler name here]

Plateau’s suck, I remember I had a grappling tournament when I was 17, and only a 170 lb spot was available, and I couldn’t get lower than 175. Some people are just built different and are exactly where they should be weight wise, and from some of the pictures you’ve shown, you might be there, which is good, because you look fantastic.

Daniel McCarthy

The Plateau is REAL and a huge bummer. But don't let it get ya down! I am by no means an expert, but I switched to low weight, high reps to get past it, and always lifted till failure. Almost completely cut out traditional cardio, and started DDP Yoga. Don't give up, and don't be afraid to experiment to find out what's right for you. Good luck and demonspeed!

Joe White

I agree with most of your followers you look good and just keep improving at your own pace and your fans will still love you. Plus we're all looking forward to your q and a video just be yourself take your time and have fun.

Adam Mapes

You're beautiful as you are. I'm sure you'll find a healthy solution in losing the remaining weight you need. It's a long journey to love the skin you're in, but we believe you're a magnificent person and can do anything ❤️

Jake J

Hello sorry if my words came across wrong. I always been such a huge supporter of you and meant no harm. An truly like how you look. I thought you stole the show in the battle royale ppv look amazing

Larr Remarkable

Your choice in words definitely came across differently. This is the first time I've ever said anything about our roster, and I didn't say anything negative about myself?

Abadon

I been saying for months how I respect your grinding and training. An been stated I don't see anything wrong with you. I don't know why you think I was trying to talk bad about you

Larr Remarkable

huh never was I trying to say you didn't work out zombie I just noticed you always talk about the other roster looks on aew. I get insecure sometimes I just walk outside and listen to music to keep my mind off of things. Without a doubt you know I'm one of your biggest fans going back to your independent days

Larr Remarkable

Oh gosh yes! This is exactly what I was saying from my comment! LOVE THIS! Congratulations on your weight loss journey too! I'm definitely looking into different types of exercises as well which I heard can "shock" the body out of the plateau too! I did recently adda Pilates class for balance and core strength

Abadon

Plateaus are the worst! I found the best way to push through them was a workout shake up! If your routine is backs & bis on day 1, chest & tris on day 3 and legs on day 5 with cardio on days 2, 4 & 6 (or whatever your routine is), try doing something else for a few weeks. If changing your diet isn't working or makes you feel poorly, I'd highly recommend trying just keeping that the same and changing the workout! Something that "shocks" the body into breaking through the plateau! When I lost all of my weight the first time, I was mostly following the Body For Life By Bill Phillips routines. Keep up the great work!!

Tony VanderPas

Please don't take this as a "fishing for compliments" post. You guys get to see the struggle of the fitness journey. Not just the good days, but the bad days as well. There's plenty of both. I appreciate those who also share their journey with me, itsnpart of the reason I post these. It allows not just myself, but other people learn from each other and coming together on this struggle bus.

Abadon

You are amazing and you look beautiful. Keep up the hard work.

Mark Sparks

I appreciate your compliment as I've been working exceptionally hard. I've heard fantastic things about bike riding but I have a bum knee that doesn't like that motion at all (gets all inflamed and what not) I know people who are tall and lean and struggle with gaining weight as well. Even with heavy lifting and protein intake and just calorie intake in general. I think both sides are equally hard.

Abadon

I've struggled as well, and I think being honest and open about it let's people know that it's okay to struggle with it. I kid you not I at one point was 108 pounds but was considered the "skinny fat" that peoole complain about. Which is wild. I'll go more in depth on that in my Q and A but I definitely understand the struggle

Abadon

You look fab, and I can't wait to hear your answers in the Q&A video. In regards to your weight loss, I have same problem of gaining and losing weight. The heaviest I ever been was close to 200 pounds and I'm a tall and lean dude. I manage to get down to 165, 170 with walks and bike rides but I have a fast metabolism, and doesn't look like I am losing any weight.

Bryan M. Davis

I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I feel ya. Thank you for being open and honest about your journey.

Donnie

I'm not concerned about being beautiful per say, just more body shape and type. I don't think I could ever have abs per say, but I feel like from a social standpoint people would expect me to ya know? This plateau definitely has me in my own head for sure.

Abadon

So Larr, what bothers me is you assuming I don't walk outside or use a ttreadmill. I actually utilize a stair stepper(much harder then a treadmill) for 45 minuets after each lift that I do. I'm not sure if you read what I stated but plateauing is an ACTUAL thing that happens to your body when you are looking to lose weight or gain muscle toning.

Abadon

Hello if it bothers you that much just do walking outside from time to time and running on treadmill. I think you look amazing. Also please don't forget to check out the question I sent you over the weekend

Larr Remarkable

Congratulations on losing 50 pounds! Thats amazing! That's about where I will be, but I think a weight of 120 to 125 would be ideal. I currently sit between 135 and 140

Abadon

You look amazing! The plateaus are the worst and it always seems like everyone has an answer but it never seems to work. I would say just keep doing what works for you and don't sweat the plateau. And as for how you compare to the others on the roster, even with your gimmick it's obvious you're gorgeous so don't let that get in your head either. Keep slaying, Zombae!

Josh Howard

the plateau with body transformation is very VERY real. I lost 50 lbs last year and after a certain point you kinda just stop being able to tell. But we press on! Great job so far!
