Tips
Added 2021-09-20 18:24:36 +0000 UTCAnyone have good tips on buying a car? I'm having the worst luck with my current vehicle 🙃 it's getting WAY to expensive to fix at this point. If anyone has any good tips on when going to a dealership that would be awesome.

I appreciate everyone's advice! I do hope there's some value in my current vehicle. There's a transmission issue but the vehicle still runs so fingers crossed!

2021-09-20 18:42:43 +0000 UTCIf you're financing, never buy new unless you can get 0%APR for the life of the loan. Haggling with the sales person will only get you so far, so haggle with the folks in the business office too whether you're financing or not. If the dealership doesn't have what you want, don't let them sell you something else. Do not be afraid to make a deal for additional oil changes, tire rotation services, and a free detail job or two after purchase.

2021-09-20 18:41:58 +0000 UTCI agree with Stephen. That what i did when i got my truck. I also for ke it was $5 more to add insurance so if something happened to my truck and it was totaled, i just had to pay one payment more on my loan.

2021-09-20 18:41:11 +0000 UTCWow talk about a coincidence. I actually just traded in my car bc it was getting too expensive to fix as well. My tips would be to go to a legitimate dealership that has great reviews. Like I wanted a Ford so I went to a licensed Ford dealer. Also another tip would be to figure out how you will use the car. Like if your going to drive it a lot definitely finance over lease or vise versus if you don’t plan on driving a lot. Also if your going to finance if you plan on getting something younger then 5 years old bring at least $2000-$4000 for a down payment. Finally I know said it already but I’ll say it again. Do your homework and research the cars your interested in and ask for a car fax. I hope this helped out 🙂. Also any chance your in NYC this Wednesday for a meet and greet?

2021-09-20 18:36:13 +0000 UTCDon't commit to a single car and always show up as you're just window shopping. The more you seem uninterested in the vehicle, the more of a better deal they will try and offer you in order to get you to make the purchase.
