Tried not to bring my angsty author side. ;) After trying to have babies for so long, their efforf brings nothing, and later they finally find the wife is infertile. Both are frustrated and cannot deal with the situation (due lack of healthy communication), they become toxic to each other, and it makes their relationship unbearable. The husband left and divorce her because he feels he cannot deal with the wife's negativity anymore. The wife always thought this is her fault for being infertile that her husband left. But that's not the be the main problem, their bad way to communicate to each other, amd the self sabotage mindset might be the underlying problem. Anyway, Ashley usually deals with adult patients. So this time she has to help the ex wife to deal with this.
