Hands Up: Rhythm N' Ambush Preview 2 + Update on future Projects

Here's some preview for the next Short of Hands Up. All of this was made by Marco Cardenas! one of the really talented animators that are going to  help me finish this animation (I have a lot of help this time!!)

---------------------

The next days I will be upgrading my PC (I want to learn 3D!!). While I am having help making the next Hands up short, I will take some time to do a lot of research for the next season of ENA. We are already finding very interesting ways to make the first person view a better experience. But to achieve this I need some time to watch movies, play games, see documentals, etc. I promise the next ENA will be something good!!

If you're looking for inspiration on first person perspective I think it would be worth checking out Hardcore Henry. Obviously that's a very different genre then what you're doing; but the film does a good job showing active first person perspectives without inducing motion sickness.

fantastic planet is a BANGER if you need inspiration for plants n stuff, it’s also very rewatchable

Noelle!!

hey thanks for following!! and honestly super excited to see what it looks like too, a DOOM look would be really neat i think!

goop

hey goop, i follow you on twitter. and uh, yeah I can't wait for the new 1st person view. i wonder if its gonna be like DOOM where we can see ENA's hands and arms and stuff as she's interacting with the world.

Tak

This is probably a common movie but I really enjoy the 1968 Yellow Submarine Beatles movie! I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't given it a watch, its art is very colorful and it definitely is inspired by surrealism! Keep up the great work!

goop

I'd really love if an actual ENA plush dropped in the store similar to the hourglass dog, I swear i'd have like 3 of them chilling in different portions of the house what an amazing character!

ENA PLUSHIE PLEASE

King's Field looks cool!!

Joel Guerra

Oh if you want some suggestions for inspiration, maybe try the game Cubivore. Its super strange and unique! One of my all time faves! Another great one is King's Field. Creepy first person Playstation 1 game

Wishes For Fishes

I have never seen Amelie, I will see it if you recommend it! and Katamari Damacy is a game I always wanted to play, I love its music

Joel Guerra

Hypnospace Outlaw looks amazing, and I was planning to see more of Masaaki Yuasa too!

Joel Guerra

On top of this, I'd whole heartedly recommend Masaaki Yuasa's work like 'Kaiba' and 'Cat Soup'. I think his surreal artstyle and concepts would lend some very good inspiration to your catalog. As far as games go, I'd say 'LSD: Dream Simulator' and 'Hypnospace Outlaw' would be worth looking into if you haven't played them already!

CalmWeaver27

Have you played Katamari Damacy or its sequel? I think that's a really good example of fun old game feel that still holds up today! Also the movie Amelie has always been a favorite movie of mine because of its really weird and early 2000s vibes lol
