Early Planning | Silver District Terminal (Ep 9 Background)
Added 2024-12-09 08:43:02 +0000 UTCWe've got three new backgrounds coming to you in Episode 9, starting with the Silver District Terminal on Goldis, where the crew will be landing the ship to gain access to the planet!
Below you can find notes on the terminal, and we've included Tea's initial sketches for the background. We'll be settling on some kind of variation between 'A' and 'B' in order to show the scale of the place.
The SDT will also be the background for one of two CG's planned for the episode, which will feature an illustration of Cal's arc.
Silver District Terminal (Night) (Episode 9)
A transport depot/hub on Goldis where all spacecraft must pass through in order to be granted access to Silta Vie. Kind of like a spaceship parking lot but also has a ton of security. This is located in the Silver District and is very grey looking but is very well lit. Has a kind of runway like an airport strip through the middle for the ships to depart the terminal. Plenty of ships parked around in some spaces of the terminal.
Showing just a small portion of the terminal in the background is fine, as the place is massive, and we want to try to emphasise how big the space really is. The terminal is located on the ground.
Since there is a curfew in effect and the crew arrive to the terminal at night, the place is pretty much locked down and very dead.
