Resuming personal projects🎞️ Family archive

Hi everyone!

Today I decided to dedicate some time for myself and finally continue a personal project💐

As I’ve shared with you before I really enjoy to work with old photos from family archives, from mine or from unknown ones. This time I wanted to go for a personal photo that I’ve always loved💌

This drawing is made from a photo of my mom and I, when I was around 2 years old maybe (I really don’t know). My plan is to work on big drawings from my family archive and creating a series of them. Then, other projects/series from unknown families, old and forgotten photos that you can spread on many markets. That way I can give them a second life and can become important again, in some way.

I made in 56 minutes as a previous sketch of the final artwork. This really helps me to see what should I prioritize and it also makes me practice the anatomy resemblance. I’m still not getting my mother’s mouth right, but I’m working on it✍🏻

Tbh, I have no idea when will I have the time to work on the big one, but at least I started the sketch which really is something✨ As you can see, I don’t use the hatching technique in all my artworks, I think it’s important to know when to use each technique and material depending on the feeling and sensitivity you want to transmit.

I’ll keep updating you on personal projects, even though they take forever to finish🎇🌙
