The process of making my first Zine🌞 (Call Me By Your Name edition)

This one’s a project I’ve been working on for about two years, since I started the scene drawings! Those were made with the purpose of creating a Fanzine one day of my very favorite film in the world, which is Call me By Your Name🥰
In this post you’re gonna be able to see how messy sometimes is my way of organizing🥴 I found (and still find it) difficult to put all my ideas together so I use my iPad to create collages and brainstorming so much easier and quickly!
This is how the project is going at the moment:
- (Pic 1) The artworks are pieces I’ve been doing for the last 4 years, since I discovered the film and fell in love with it. Some of them are scenes and some others are just drawings of the characters/distinctive objects. I started building a structure with that, also having the chronology of the original story right so I had to have it as a guide (Pic 3)
- (Pic 2)This is the first try of the messy “script” I built, but I think I’m missing some important points of the story! I also noted those on the corner to make sure I don’t forget about them✨
I’m still not sure if I want this to be a revisioning of the story or a recap of Elio & Oliver’s love story, but I’m happy to finally have taken the step to start the Zine! It’s going to be a an interesting journey but a very exciting and beautiful project that means so much to me💛 I would love to know your opinion/suggestions on it!
