Sorry that you've perceived it like that. It was a discussion with Thomas Grondowy who suddenly decided to just go and remove his comments. That's one of many things I don't like on Patreon: the ability to silently change or even remove comments. DeviantArt's approach is the best: you couldn't remove a comment, only hide it and changes are always visible (all previous versions could be seen be everyone if comment is not hidden). This way such strange “I'm talking with muself” discussions don't happen.

I may pay for this comic but I don't care enough about it to get into a argument about how the comic is or which direction it is going or what allegories and meanings might be hidden in the way this is drawn or why this pencil is facing this direction and what not. I might do that with movies like 2001 or Stalker, but I don't have the time or patience to start over analyzing this comic. So I am going to avoid getting sucked into any type of debate or argument. Just enjoy the comic and say that Than got ripped off and Than is my favorite.

Than had NO “reservoirs of silicone”. Apparently she knows herself too well: she's “forced to pace herself” thus “keeps so little saline on hand” (page 139). This, by itself, is more than a little disturbing, though…
Alexis gang could have discovered that and planned to tempt her, we just don't really know.
As for “I still think this is all going by her will”… WHO's will? That's very interesting question: Annabel haven't stopped C.A.P.I. and/or Miriam which looks more than a little bit suspicious.
The thing I suspect (just a gut feeling, couldn't be 100% sure) is that Annabel is actually playing against Than here… for her own good, of course: she have seen Than's obsession as increasingly unhealthy thus secretly welcomed this coup d'état attempt.
Now, when Than's obsession have [seemingly] brought the whole Than's “house of cards” down she'll be forced to think more about all things: her [apparently destructive] love of huge breasts, her relationship with “Moarcraft guy” (who's apparently quite ready to easily drop Than in favor of bigger saline bags), etc.
Of course if that's the case then Annabel is still loyal to Than, she just does not want to see her destroyed by her own urges… which means that she had some secret agreement with Rhea (Alexis is just a doll in that attempt, Rhea is “the brains of the operation”)…
Of course all that could be just a wishful thinking… but this way some loose ends would be nicely tied… but may be Zdemian have other designs for the whole story, who knows?

Miriam is an enigma to me. Apparently a capable [para?] military fighter yet a scatterbrain to a fault (she have only realized that “Alexis went with a couple of guys on the root and never went back == kidnapping” when Sadie said so explicitly: http://goo.gl/w04Ay7 ). How much of that is her “natural” doing and how much is it a plot to make opponents feel safe? I would love to hear about her backstory, LOL.
But anyway: with Miriam being… well… MIRIAM this twist could have been planned from the start—but she just forgot all about it when Annabel gave her something shiny, LOL.
As for Alexis being helpless… Than would have been in the same position since apparently her platform was kocked out from under her. She was hanging in the air and was similarly flushed just two pages back.
At least now Than could be safely moved out of that building… which gives us more possibilities but does not fully explain what'll happen.
As I've already said: we've passed tough spot in the story and now there are so many open roads I wouldn't even try to guess what'll happen next. Only one road is closed: complete domination of Than over the whole story. Which was the aspect I always hated anyway.
Than could be an “ally” (I would have said a “friend” but I don't believe that Than have any friends), she could be an “adversary” or a “victim”, she could stage a comeback (and there in many different ways, too), or there could be yet another player behind the scenes (what happened to Than's parents, e.g.? are they still around? how would THEY react to Than's loss of the “President of pATAgon” title?), etc.
I'm really looking forward for the next chapter! And a bit scared for this one: it's only 144th page, usually chapters in LBSM have 25 pages (which makes no sense if you'll think about it: I would have expected either 24 or 32 as is traditional for comics) thus the “wrap-up” will take 6 more pages… why? What needs to yet happen here?
P.S. And where's Amelia in all that? I'm really surprised that Zdemian spent so much time building her backstory (even given her a name, LOL!) just to forget about her.

It's one thing to like Than and dislike Alexis (or the other way around), it's complete different thing to just ignore things which Zdemian so carefully drawn.
Page 139: Than's tube with the “flying cylinder” is near ALEXIS input port and is ready to pull the Alexis tube out. Page 141: Than's “flying cylinders” are attached to Than's boobs and Alexis boobs. Alexis tubes which Miriam connected had nothing like this, they were just tubes—check page 139 or any previous page (129 has the close-up: just tubes, no attachements). Page 141: Than is GROWING while Alexis is SHRINKING!
Than have started this whole “tug o' war” game! C.A.P.I. just changed the difrection of the flow… The whole “the creator may have felt otherwise but that's how I have read the comic so far” is just crazy when said “creator” spends so much time drawing precise details which leave no doubt in what's goes on here and there.
You may argue that Than does not know just WHY her goons have names “Chase” and “Fetcher” (these are mostly clues to readers, LOL), but to say that Than was not intended to “cheat” here… that's just crazy.

I get it. You prefer Alexis. I prefer Than. Than is more of a manipulator than a cheater. What her henchmen do doesn't necessarily mean she approved of their methods. Also in the previous panels I had always thought that she was just hooking up to Alexis's other blimps she brought around. Not that she wanted to actually take Alexis's fluid from inside like she did to Than. Than always seemed to like Alexis being big and I don't feel that she would have taken anything from Alexis. The creator may have felt otherwise but that's how I have read the comic so far. Ive always seen Than as more of a manipulator than a cheater and I had always thought Alexis had more dignity than to cheat.

Well, Than have only herself to blame. As I've already said: she could have stopped this attempt many times before Alexis could take things too far, but she decide to “live dangerously” to experience thrill of rapid expansion… but her black backfired.
And as I've noted Than probably does not know how dire her situation is yet. But yeah, her reaction in the future will be interesting. I think that while 8.00.8.5 was joint effort of “Moarcraft guy” (will he ever receive a name?) and Than they perceived it quite differently: Than, most likely, looked on it as more-or-less an unachieavble prize to taunt others while “Moarcraft guy” perceived it as real, perfectly valid, challenge.
Annabel… it's really quite hard to predict her reaction: on one side she was always extremely loyal to Than, on the other she haven't neutralized Miriam when she had chance… perhaps she secretly wished to see Than beaten? I have no idea…
I'm pretty sure that Than wouldn't be just “given up to Feds”: Feds, most likely, have many suspicions, but no solid evidence (or else they would have prosecuted her already)… the challenge of drawing “Than's prison life” sounds REALLY intriguing to me, but I doubt that it'll come to pass.
As for Alexis deal with Feds: we know about it a lot (it was named in no uncertain terms at the end of previous chapter), yet not enough. Mostly about it's interpretation by Rhea, I mean: Alexis left alone would have just taken the most direct approach… which would lead us nowhere.
Rhea, on the other hand, should have enough experience not to break the terms of agreement but also not to do exactly what Feds want.
Alexis couldn't just continue on the road of turning pATAgon into a city-state (Feds would become desperate and will attempt some other plan to stop her… worst case scenario they could kill her), yet she couldn't just dismantle the pATAgon (that's what Feds really want, but if pATAgon will be dismantled then Alexis' usefullness for Feds will come to an end…).
All in all we have more than enough plotlines to fill dozen of chapters now.

Than is probably super pissed. I'm most interested in seeing where she winds up next.
I'll be curious to see how much loyalty Than maintains from people around her now that she's presumably not in control anymore. I guess she still has some amount of control being on the board but you have Atlas guy seemingly dumping his support of Than at the drop of a dime now that Alexis is bigger. Will Annabel flip support to Alexis or will she stick by Than? Will the rest of the Board move to give up Than to the Feds? I guess we still don't know exactly what sort of deal Alexis struck with the Feds, so maybe Alexis tries to strike some deal with Than and then they team up against the Feds?

I think you've either missed something and mixed something. Our resident cheater, Than, have finally gotten a dose of her own medicine and Alexis now will get the Patagon as spoils of her victory… but you sound bitter whileas this should be joyful occasion… weird…

Now, when you raised the question… I'm kinda interested in qualities of her blazer: how exactly does it work? We are seeing remnants of Than's clothes, but we only see a tiny part of Alexis' blazer. What happened to the rest? It's not big enough now to contain all that abundance, that's obvious, but where have it disappeared to?
Alexis/Miriam were planning it, sure, perhaps Miriam have removed it and put in storage, I don't know, I'm just surprised that they had plans which called for removal of Alexis' blazer front yet had nothing to replace it with…

Genetic modifications? Or may be the infamous “boost” changes the skin appropriately… Normal human skin wouldn't be able to contain these implants without tearing under strain, anyway, thus it's pretty clear that something was done to avoid these problems…
“Hyperelastic skin” is not unknown phenomenon, after all, it's perfectly believable that in LBSM world they would be able to induce it artificially and locally (we are not observing “hyperelastic skin” in other parts of Alexis and/or Than body, after all)…

I'm pretty sure she could… she just couldn't move into the proper position using her own power. “Moarcraft guy” will need to help her… will his inventions, I mean: he, personally, wouldn't be able to do much, LOL…

Oh, and it's a matter of perspective. I think we're viewing Alexis from ground level, kinda below her body.

2015-12-24 07:47:20 +0000 UTC
Well, she'd be a little bigger, but not by much. After all, volume climbs as the cube of dimensions. Or, in other words, double the volume, and you'll see about an increase of dimensions by about... 1/4? 1/8? Something like that.
Big boobs are ruining my math skills :P

Yeah but Alexis was massive when tug of war started and from 143, you can see compared to 141. Than is alot smaller than before but the amount filler taken from her added to Alexis Already massive mount seem small in term of size cause i assume that the amount of size reduced in bust on Than will be added on Alexis's chest like those bust transfer.. ;)

I've been curious...when Than shrank there really wasn't the excess of skin that accompanies implants being downsized. Aside from ascribing it to magick, what explanation is there to this quandary?
2015-12-24 06:59:44 +0000 UTC
I am guessing since Alexis was smaller than Than, used all her filler stock, and then stole a majority of Than's juice. She is now roughly the size of Than before the duel. And Than is still ginormous... just not as much as usual. So Ale did not take it all
This would be much more easy to gage if we have a chronological growth scale of the two *hint hint :p*

Why does Alexis look smaller than Than is before?? Shouldnt she grow bigger than Than is in 141 seeing how she absorb the filler or something??

Ha! Of course! I'm surprised her shoes didn't slip off!
It's really cute shows she's trying to keep a modicum of modesty by trying to keep her blazer on after everything. And nothing like executive pinstripes for da Proise Pizza Butt!
