2015-11-03 17:41:01 +0000 UTCThey are only fun in LBSM since that world have enormous amount of rules (heck, most physics laws are in effect—that by itself limits amount of possible outcomes severely) thus accurate enough prediction is possible. As for “Alexis AND Than vs Feds”… that's something I've not thought about. Than could step down formally if Alexis will agree to certain conditions since she believes she could easily outwit her later (hey, she did it once she could do that again) and Feds would be forced to back down, too—but not completely. They couldn't just throw Alexis to jail because then their agreements could be aired and then Feds themselves would be in hot water, but they would obviously really angry. Yeah, that could work. Alexis and Than on the same side would be pretty funny even if they wouldn't be a friends but just an uneasy allies!

A stalemate might have brought an outcome like Alexis AND Than vs Feds,since both had a lot to lose if they didn't reach a truce. A M.A.D. scenario would eliminate any chances of the Feds trying Alexis or Than for any crimes on the grounds that they would have to dig their dead bodies out of the wreckage.

2015-11-03 02:56:50 +0000 UTCStalemate or M.A.D. scenario will still leave Alexis a fugitive (page 124: Alexis could only lose that status “upon satisfactory completion” of the coup d'etat) and Than a lawful CEO of a large organization with support of senators, several high profile companies like Atlas, Core Cybernetics, and others (page 122). It wouldn't take long for Than to finish Alexis from that position. It wouldn't take much, really: such outcome would literally mean not “Than vs Alexis” fight, but “Alexis vs Than AND Feds”.

2015-11-03 01:09:46 +0000 UTCThere's no telling how that attempted Coup d'etat ended between Than and Alexis.Given Than's actions I'm thinking it might have ended in a stalemate,or worse,the M.A.D. scenario(Mutually Assured Destruction).Patagon's Parliament Building probably couldn't withstand much expansion between the duelling decolletage demigoddesses.Annabel made a wise move getting out of there.

2015-11-02 23:34:12 +0000 UTCWell, someone missed my analytics so here we go: I hope that it's beginning of the chapter 5.5 and if so then Alexis needs to lose here. Why? Well, it's simple: the biggest problem of chapter VI was the fact that Zdemian have painted himself into the corner. Than needed to lose there (or else we'll get the repeat of the same story where Than is “at the top of the world” and Alexis is “grinded to a paste”… may be even literally this time) yet Alexis had no way to win (she seemingly rushed unprepared AGAIN in a direct attack against Than in Than's homebase!). Zdemian is not the first and not the last author who did that. Usually comic authors use some kind of “superpowers” to resolve situations like that but LBSM plays in the universe without superpowers thus that way is unaccessible. The alternative is some king of “top-sikrit plan” (perhaps even with Annabel as one of participants!), but Alexis herself is the main obstacle! Even if Rhea and Miriam (well, Rhea and C.A.P.I., anyway) will envision something workable Alexis is bound to crush it with her “direct approach”. If Alexis will lose here AGAIN because she did something rash then this could be enough for her to think about things SERIOUSLY and prepare something FOR REAL. Then she could win in chapter VI.
