2014-08-25 00:26:42 +0000 UTCThis plan is still very risky. Atlas will be prime suspect no matter who'll distribute Boost. Even if Than will distribute Boost in a way to slander “Prois Fitness Products” it still will not remove Atlas from the list of suspects. If Than owns it she'll be under investigation sooner or later. And once investigators will actually catch the glimpse of her… nope that's just not how such things are done. More likely scheme is something like this: someone under Than's control in a broker firm would buy Atlas shares before “Boost epidemy” will begin then will sell them when it'll be brought under control one way or another (either Boost will be declared illegal and shares of Atlas will go down or eventually there will be many manufacturers similar to Atlas and shares will go down becuase protifs will go down). Then after few more steps these money will be transferred to Than's account (or perhaps even brought to her in form of actual golden coins… remember cover of 3rd chapter of LBSM?). In fact Than's plan is quite risky even if she DOES NOT own Altas: she still needs Atlas bras to survive, after all! She could be traced when (not if!) someone will start investigating Atlas!

2014-08-14 21:19:26 +0000 UTCThis would make sense, sure, but then it'll be somewhat stupid to make such an obvious move. “Is fecit, qui prodest” principle will make Atlas THE prime suspect for the Boost story and such a straight approach just does not look like something Than would do. I think if she's benefitting from Boost it's a little more indirect win. Bigger sidewalks? Who knows. As for “Atlas bra's failing at inopportune times”… never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity! We have no Atlas bras in our world, but we do have medical devices and other such things. How secure they are? The android contestant from when the anti-grav was just starting up hasn't been seen at all in the water yet...

2014-08-07 20:17:25 +0000 UTCAh common, it's only one event so far... I say Alexis pulls a last minute turnover and comes back down on Than. IIRC, she was booby checked upwards, she still has to come back down. Gravity and momentum are more than a match for any Atlas(R) anti-grav bra system. Besides, recall the roof top chase from the 1st chapter? I'm pretty sure Alexis has a more practiced control over her system than Than, who practically lounges about in her home and honestly has only used her Atlas and mass with simply brute force.

2014-08-07 02:37:54 +0000 UTCI don't know if I really cared much for this particular comic. It seems like a plot cul-de-sac. Nothing we didn't already know about the characters was shown, and the contest itself was a farce. The Wizard of Oz sequence was amusing, and it showed some of Alexis' subconscious, but again, we already pretty much knew what she was thinking. Didn't even get a chance to see Than made humble. I suppose I'll just bide my time until LBSM starts back up again.

For her winning is winning and losing is losing, it's as simple as that. She never planned to give a chance to Alexis, really. She just needed to make her bigger (as Alexis buyer requested) and she succeded. THAT is winning. Contest is just a pretext.
