I was so fascinated yet conflicted by all of this when I first read it. The big scary antagonist's plan ultimately being kind of dumb and impossible feels so against how stories are supposed to work that I just didn't even know what to make of it. But I do think it's like...a convincing mental health crisis to be so desperate and done with everything that you just go 'fuck it' mode. Anko's voice actress does such a great job of making her sound a bit unhinged but mostly exhausted. It's super interesting and kinda weird but I think it ends up working really well.
