Patreons Only: Demo Img2Img Tentacles Birth of Venus

Recently, I used IMG2IMG to recreate the classic painting, "The birth of Venus" by Botticelli. I posted about this on Twitter.

I wanted to briefly demo and explain how this was done. Warning: The final image here involves tentacles and penetration, so if that's too much for you, don't read on.

"The Birth of Venus," painted by Sandro Botticelli in the late 15th century, is an iconic masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance. This ethereal artwork portrays the birth of the goddess Venus, emerging from the sea foam, symbolizing the rebirth of classical ideals during the Renaissance. Commissioned by the Medici family, it remains a timeless symbol of artistic and cultural resurgence in history.

I wondered... could I use IMG2IMG to recreate this masterpiece in a more intense, even disturbing fashion?

I'd recently been experimenting with tentacles in other artwork. For example:

But I wanted to push things further.

I started by trying to use IMG2IMG with the original painting, but realized that the AI was confused by the images on either side of Venus. Here's what I got from my first IMG2IMG tests:

Not ideal.

So I ended up using GIMP to to paste different sections of the sky and water on the painting, thereby clean up the image to remove the characters on either side of Venus.

I then generated octopus tentacles with an alpha behind them, and pasted those over the image, again using GIMP. Now, I was in business.

Next, I used IMG2IMG with the FantasyBeauty checkpoint model, and the Loras TQ Breastslider, BetterHands, and Hourglass Shape.

The prompt was fairly simple: botticeli, reddish blonde, screaming in pain, hands behind back, sex with huge octopus tentacle, legs spread, ultra beautiful girl, octopus tentacles, realistic oil painting, big sagging breasts. I ended up with a deNoise of around .5 and kept re-rolling until I got what I wanted.

Here it is:

Beautiful reinterpretation, right?

Now for the more intense part. If we are going to have tentacles, shouldn't we have penetration?

A quick aside... According to what I've read, tentacles in art have evolved in distinct ways across cultures. In Japan, tentacles, particularly in "shunga" (erotic art), have historical roots and represent themes of desire and taboo. In the U.S. film industry, tentacles found their way into science fiction and horror genres, becoming iconic in monster movies like "King Kong" and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," where they often symbolized the unknown and fear of the deep ocean.

I've also read that they were used in Japanese anime because after World War Two, the United States banned human penetration scenes in Japan. Anyway, I'm no expert, so check out this article if you want to learn more.

My interest is artistic. So I changed the prompt to: botticeli, reddish blonde, screaming in pain, hands behind back, sex with huge octopus tentacle, legs spread, ultra beautiful girl, octopus tentacles, realistic oil painting, big sagging breasts. Negative prompt: penis.

Here's what I got (with a few GIMP touchups):

Notice how some of the elements of Botticelli's painting remain. The renaissance feel. The building. The water. That's what makes this IMG2IMG stuff so captivating and powerful for me.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this demo and explanation of my process. If you'd like to see a tentacle set like this, please let me know. I also hope I don't scare any of you away. Thanks again for being a Patreon.
