Urgent news
Added 2025-02-11 12:53:55 +0000 UTCGuys, I was hacked yesterday. They Broke into my PC, tried to steal my emails, and managed to steal my Banco Payoneer account. I had to format my PC urgently. I lost my Zbrush, saves, and some projects, but luckily I hadn't started any projects for the next month.
I'm reinstalling everything. The hacker broke into my PC and was controlling the mouse in front of me, but fortunately, I was online at the time.
For a while, I lost access to Patreon, but luckily everything of mine is secured with two-factor authentication. However, somehow, he managed to access my bank account and change the registered phone number. The scare is over, but I'm contacting the company to recover my bank account.
Guys, I don't click on porn site ads hahaha I opened an email about a car fine that I received recently, but the email said it wasn't paid so I opened the email.

I. Hope I haven't gotten some bad emails since your cyber attack. Cause somebody keeps trying to get into my email account now since then. Now I might have to call my bank and get a new card

2025-02-11 21:04:04 +0000 UTCDamn dude! Glad you were online when that went down. I've had a bit of training (extensive), but they keep getting smarter n smarter on ways to scam us. Also, as someone above mentioned, reset all your passwords and put on paper for time being. Then, get a VPN or similar service that has a password manager that you can always access (offline mode). I currently use Nord, but there are other really good ones out there too. I would then use a different pc (laptop or something) to log into your PW manager, and store your new ones. It's unlikley, but they could have left a keylogger on your hardrive, which would then see all your new PW's. Stay safe bud. Edit: Also, some of the PW manager services offer free PW generators that make long, complicated PW's that are very difficult for them to crack.

2025-02-11 17:57:17 +0000 UTCalso i suggest watching "Atomic Shrimp"s video on opening Emails. basically he recommends to NEVER use a link from an email. even if you 100% trust the source. just go to the website you'd already be going too and go from there. hackers can make links look safe but actually re-direct you to other look alike sites.

2025-02-11 14:31:11 +0000 UTCGo Scorched Earth dude. change *EVERY* Password to EVERYTHING you can think of. write them all down in a notepad in person for the time being. but yes make sure you contact your bank asap. just FYI though, its VERY hard for hackers to get away with stealing money directly from your bank account normally, thats why they most often try to get you to send it to them via google/apple gift cards. stay safe dude. there are some EVIL people out there.

The email related to an automobile fine email might well be the door that the hacker used. Supposed unpaid toll road charges have been a popular lure used by hackers recently. Regardless, I'm glad that the damage was limited!
