"Yes... I know I was an Olympic swimmer back then, but that was ages ago! There ARE qualified coaches out there than just me!"

When Melissa was a young athlete during her freshman years of college, she was one of the world's top freestyle swimmers. She even took her skills to the Olympics, winning a Gold Medal during her time. Sadly, she decided to start a family shortly after, living the life as a stay-at-home mother to Brielle. As time went on, Melissa developed habits where she gained weight, putting her in a position where she may never return to swimming professionally again. Still, at her ripe age of 40, Melissa finds ways to get back into the water from time-to-time, teaching even the most prolific swimmers a thing or two from her days as an Olympian.

Even with her background, she doubts herself often, believing there are far more qualified individuals out there to take her place. However, people think otherwise and she still finds herself back in the water teaching more and more young men and women various maneuvers to improve their swimming skills.

Still... She wonders why they choose her over others...

Finally had the time to introduce Melissa Dolce, another OC of mine who's been mentioned in A Minorian Tail as Chrys' babysitter and long-time friend to his mother Elise. Not only that, we now see her as Brielle's mother too.

I'd been creating a small backstory for Melissa for some time and I did want to portray her as another MILF figure in the story. She does have the wholesome moments, but is quite an airhead when it comes literally anything. She was a full-time athlete after all, so her college days were leaning into athletics and training for the Olympics over studying. So you'll see her quite often in the story as we move into later chapters.
