It really is the way for something focused on romance to keep putting obstacles between the main couple. I wouldn't have thought of her auntie as an obstacle since Dong Kyung has been happily telling everyone they live together and not getting any push-back because of her terminal illness. I suppose we just got past his mother as the obstacle and now we have hers.
