I like Adorkable's allusions to Kyubey being an actual demon, because he is; but because Gen Urobichi is the writer of this show, Kyubey is actually supposed to represent the Satan snake in the Garden of Eden.

Instead of bothering to gain a little energy and deal with bunch of civilizations possibly reaching to space where they are they prob want to get as much energy they can extract and stomp them and move on to next planet.

But humans are not logical. Kyubey is, thats why he farmed the resources and then dipped out to repeat the same process in another planet.

2025-01-14 09:15:27 +0000 UTCre: why doesn't madoka just defeat walpurgis and then homura shoots her soul gem after--that would work if the point of all of this was to defeat walpurgis and save the world even at the expense of their own lives. but homura's primary goal here is saving madoka, and saving the world is secondary, so any endgame that involves madoka being dead is one homura won't accept and she'll just continue to reset until she finds an ending where madoka is alive and happy. that's why she said that she can do this for eternity "for madoka's sake"

2025-01-14 03:17:58 +0000 UTCI'd put this ep in my pantheon of top 10 anime episodes of all time. Just really well done and tied everything together going into the finale. And chock full of emotion. Really nice touch with the end of the ep going into the OP for the show, as well. What's wild is the OP lyrics have basically told Homura's story from the beginning. I love how well thought out that was and makes the show really rewatchable.

PS: Oh, you're going to do the movies as well? Nice. I vaguely remember the first two movies being just a recap of the show (so I'm not sure if you want to watch those), but the third being a sequel.
