Agreed. I'm really interested in the difference in idealogies between Gihun and the Front Man, can't wait to see how it plays out. If Gihun does take over without the deaths I feel like is still playing into their hands ie capitalism and he was a gambler at heart. He could have done some good with that prize money but instead risking lives for "the greater good". Mans didnt even seem to care his loan shark captain died in episode 1 when he actually helped a lot.

2025-01-02 23:16:45 +0000 UTCOverseas black market for human organs aren't generally "saving lives'. That's not their motivation either - they just want money. Doing horrible things for money isn't really excusable no matter how people want to try and justify it.

2025-01-02 19:20:33 +0000 UTCActually it is Gi-hun who is justifying his own actions that harm people this season.Front man knows his own actions harm people but he is utilitarian, pragmatic and realistic from what we know so far and he believes games actually can result in net positive in the world. This might also be why games this year give players choice to leave after every single game under his command. In comparison previous 001 Oh Il-nam believed humans do not help each other and completely gave up on them. Imagine if the squid games existed in the exact same way except it completely notifies everyone that it is a death game or even go further and remove the death aspect under gi-hun. If it still entertained the rich people and gi-hun believed thats the only way to help people he might actually agree to it. Well,we will see in s3 what they are cooking.Hopefully it is better than my theory.

2025-01-02 17:07:49 +0000 UTCHe may not be "evil" but he is justifying the system and also using against pepple that are in the position he was once in. And i also wondered if Gihun was beinh recruited buy idk how they they can achieve that when he is playing hero.

2025-01-02 12:33:02 +0000 UTCBy far my favorite plot point of this season is them creating the Blue vs Red team dynamic that was probably put into effect to counter Gi-hun's influence with his experience and prevent people from banding together.

2025-01-02 11:04:10 +0000 UTCHe is not evil, he is just another Cog in the machine. So i do not see it as being tricked but actually seeing the real person under the mask. I can actually see Gi-hun taking his role and continuing the games in a different format after s3 if he doesnt die
Zipzip
2025-01-02 11:00:35 +0000 UTCwell who knows though. Best part of this series is it keeps raising confusing questions that dont have a single right answer. Those people would be dead either way, at that point its one person's physical pain before inevitable death vs possibly their organs saving multiple lives

2025-01-02 10:58:06 +0000 UTCThanos best boi

2025-01-02 04:43:37 +0000 UTClmao Director was like "She's the bad person." Sir, she was preventing those men from cutting them open and harvesting their organs while they were alive. I can't even imagine, that's gotta be a horrible way to die.

2025-01-02 02:29:54 +0000 UTCSame. Thats why i can't be too mad at Gihun
Sal
2025-01-02 00:35:58 +0000 UTCThat’s correct the Front Man didn’t care about the organ harvesting. It was why he killed the guys involved and the doctor. Which is why they got the doctor from the outside.

2025-01-02 00:14:11 +0000 UTCNgl with that depressing backstory I would have fallen for Playrr 001's trickery 😔
Sal
2025-01-02 00:12:05 +0000 UTCIn season 1 the Front Man said he didnt care as long as they don't interfare with the fairness of the games. I don't think the guards know he was aware and likely just ignoring their side activities.

2025-01-02 00:10:29 +0000 UTCI find it odd that everyone was surprised that 001 kept the pregnant girl on his team. He just told a heartbreaking story about how he couldn’t save his pregnant wife. I know I’m not supposed to like Thanos but he is entertaining.

2025-01-01 23:56:38 +0000 UTCThe organ harvest thing again...That is the most moronic subplot in the history of subplots. In a place so well organised with invigilation running everywhere to have organ harvesting ring is just impossible...in season 1 it was stiupid, now it got relativly well explanation (the 2nd in command is in on the scheeme, so I guess it is somewhat possible for HIM to make this secret passage in a furnace with hidden room, and it looks like he personaly is responsible for recruiting and/or managing their workers so the "inner circle" is somewhat possible)...but then you realise its totaly impossible to be still running now! They were caught in season 1 and these caught redhanded got executed...so higher ups who are against this know this was happening, and again its bloody impossible to hide something like that once they know its happening espetialy in the place like this
