They already believed the earth was round by this point. But the church was fixated on geocentric theory and not the heliocentric theory.

I had to look it up, but he cited John 2:16 where he mentioned 'having lustful eyes' was to also mean being overly curious. 34:00 Interesting discussion and you're right on the money. There seems to have been a divide in the church over time on woman's roles. Paul wrote in his (authentic letters per scholars) about having a female patron, Phoebe and in the New Testament apocrypha, traveled and preached with Thecla who then started her own ministries (which I believe is accepted as canon in some Othordox faiths). Other stuff, particularly after Paul's death argued for more traditional roles. Maybe as it became more mainstream in Rome, it adapted to the cultural roles women had in that society. Which was basically to manage the household while men ran the show.
