is adamantium made from vibranium

Sources vary but when I say adamantium is made from vibranium I’m not just talking out my butt. Lol.

is adamantium made from vibranium is adamantium made from vibranium

Well shit got me there. Went for the deep cut and now I feel it

Jordan Postle

Yeah that's the general theory amongst everyone who is on YT that literally lives the comics and shows. I think with Brave new world they are going to tie them together since now Disney owns all the mutant rights back. Same thing with enhanced humans. That was just done because they couldn't use the word mutant without fox's okay or something dumb like MCU would have to pay a percentage or allow Fox to use MCU's characters in their movies.

The Law_v1001

You are correct I noted that to a subscriber called mochi down below not as specific as yours. I guess the people who are disagreeing with me would be MCU Only’s which would make it a lot of sense

Rock Lee

I think the distinction is mostly made because Fox owned the X-men franchise and by extension Adamantium, so Marvel needed to swap to Vibranium for Cap's Shield despite the whole point of the metal being it absorbs all impact and thus can't be bounced around like a pinball boomerang frisby

Tbush

Fair enough, I see where you're coming from. It does give people a fresh take tbf

Emanuel

That’s the thing the story do have decisive endings and then someone like me comes along and says hey I’m gonna write about Batman too do you guys wanna follow? And then it’s my own story with a decisive ending. Lol.

Rock Lee

Regarding the manga reference, I’m a personal believer of giving a story a decisive end and letting it rest in peace instead of trying to milk it but I’m likely a minority. Glad you’re feeling better btw👍

Emanuel

Lol a good comparison/take home message is even highly educated phd’s disagree in their own fields so don’t pretend to be a know it all

Emanuel

I’m super casual I don’t keep up with all these storylines. The problem faced in regards to that topic is people feeling they needed to correct me lol. If you haven’t seen or read enough material you should just let people talk or look it up. It’s harder to be s know it all with so many variations. To me thats a nice thing too. I don’t have to be an expert in the whole universe but even myself might happen to have one piece of knowledge that you haven’t read yet and I can hold my ground lol

Rock Lee

There’s always a storyline that you can follow you don’t have to follow every storyline. Some people have their favorite storylines they follow. Think about having a favorite manga that after it ended, someone just makes a new story based on those character characters, and they just keep doing that so now you have the Dragon Ball and you follow the ones you like the most. That’s all ln all

Rock Lee

This is why I never got into comics and just stuck with manga where there’s a single canon storyline instead of retcons, reboots and alternate universes with different authors. Respect to the comic og’s who can navigate those waters without a log pose

Emanuel

No one really answered, but yes, adamantium can, and usually is, made from vibranium. However, since adamantium is an alloy, it can be created with a blend of other rare metals without vibranium as well (since its a rare protected resource). True Adamantium like Cap's shield has vibranium in it and is virtually unable to be recreated from the original formula. Proto-Adamantium is what Wolverine traditionally has and doesn't contain really vibranium, just a bunch of other materials. Can't ever be melted once hardened, so it's hard to work with. Secondary Adamantium is what Bullseye and Cyber and X-23 usually have and it's slightly weaker but much more flexible.

Amir Shipp

Oh that also varies well appreciate it sonic

Rock Lee

Man if one was made from the other do you know how fucked Wolverine would be his brain be fucked by anyone with a sonic attack let alone someone who could just break his vibranium claws if he had then 😭

Kisuke01

Depends on the source material. I read that in the live-action X-Men universe (specifically X-Men Origins: Wolverine) Admantium was described as having come from an asteroid much like Vibranium in the MCU. It just depends on what source you regard as canon.

SonicKing2004

Not trying to he rude lol. Its just not a matter of opinion. Lol. The media had stated the information. And this information does vary from movie, to show , to comics

Rock Lee

Its not an opinion. Its a fact that in various marvel lore. They create Admantium using vibranium

Rock Lee

“ Sources vary ”

Rock Lee

There are different types of adamantium as well. Think it’s even found in or comes from celestials (MCU).

Dirty_Oldman

Uh, both are fictional materials. What they're each made of could be completely different between series, authors, etc.

Gus N

In my opinion, I'll have to say no, adamantium is not made from vibranium. Simply put, vibranium is a metal whose properties absorbs, stores, and redistributes kinetic energy. Vibranium's property variables are adaptable. They can also be destroyed and the kinetic energy absorbed by the metal is too strong to be absorbed by the human body; hence the suits. On the other hand, Adamantium is a metal whose properties render it indestructible. Adamantium's property variables when in a solid state are fixed and cannot adapt. This metal cannot be destroyed and when manipulated in liquid form, it can be fused with human DNA. Overall, these two metals are completely different and their properties do not support each other; however, someone found a way to combine these two, the results would be catastrophic.

Bran Bran

You right. And wolverine and xmen world has been so isolated. Shame on that part

Rock Lee

Pretty sure Black Panther was all about how they stole vibranium to make Captain America's shield among many other things

Mochi

Ah yes like a true OG baby lessssgooo!!!

Heavenly Demonic Emperor

i don't mean to be hostile lol...

Rock Lee

does the movies never mention it? its one of those things...i just know...cuz its common knowledge in my world lol

Rock Lee

you have it in reverse basically, Vibranium is from an astroid...while Adamantium is made on earth and includes vibranium which came from the asteroid lol

Rock Lee

i was a bit passionate about this one lol, its one of the few things I know know know ha ha

Rock Lee

Cooked his ass. Dam 😂

Kami

the difference between a new marvel fan and an og imho cause there are things they conveniently leave out of the new stuff and unless you're well versed, you'd be super ignorant and not know that vibranium came first

Mochi

Hmm. I don’t know much. I read comics long ago, but I don’t remember this. I always thought vibranium was from Earth while Adamantium was from somewhere else in the galaxy and arrived via an asteroid. That’s what I remember, though it has been a long while.
