Remember in the last few episodes he just realized that “damn now that you said it, she is really cute huh” moment so now he Uber shy to look at her. Now that a potential rival arrived, finally he realized why he been torn up thinking of Momo, this is the first time he felt love. ❤️

And in that case Momo has more confidence than okarun but even then the doubt crept in and then she actually saw them on top of each other which is objectively worse. so this time were seeing the same thing from Okarun's perspective. which is great, it really shows how things play out with different personalities or guys vs girls, but then as the audience we still understand the true relationships and people underneath.

The “age-gap romance” vibe of the anatomy model couple probably influenced the casting choice for them, as voice actor Tomokazu Sugita (Taro, the male one) is 25 years younger than Fumi Hirano (Hana, the female one) in real life. Sugita also voices the delusional swordsman senpai Kuno in Ranma 1/2.
