Having seen Madoka, what I will say is that it's very interesting what's actually going on in the show. It might actually be more correct to say it's a magical girl / horror genre type show. It gets pretty dark. That's really the only insight I can offer as to whether you might want to continue Madoka. Personally, I kinda like this too - I actually stopped watching it on my own so I could let the episodes stack ha ha.
