2024-12-03 23:42:51 +0000 UTCThe show is letting us know that they know each other *very* well, but I still think him snatching her was purely for his own selfish reasons, not from some charitable desire to give her an adventure. Also him overhearing her is probably the clumsiest plot device that I've seen in a kdrama all year - she just yells out her problems in a public area and her boyfriend just *happens* to be there? 😒 This show is fun, but I definitely have to put my brain on hold for a lot of it

I agree tha he has selfish behaviors but to act like he doesnt know her is a bit wild. What i dont like is the fact that hes giving her hope knowing he will die.

Just the idea of snatching someone sovereignty really irritates me but they do a good job at building or showing just how much she is willing to go along with it or not

I understand what he’s feeling but he’s a completely selfish asshole for ruining this girl’s life, then AND now. SMH

2024-12-02 13:52:58 +0000 UTCi think Haejo is such a flawed character, he has many questionable behaviors and a tendency to push people away but i still could never hate him and he grew on me as the eps went by. I actually love that we have a main character that isn’t perfect, i think he’s just a very realistic character and that’s why i felt sympathetic toward him. As for Jaemi, I also think she loved Oh Heung but like u said, not the same and not as passionately but still the feelings were definitely there

I think her and Hae Jo are a reflection of each other — loneliness, abandonment, so they understand each other very deeply and perhaps the reason they can’t let go of each other is because if they can accept each other they can accept themselves? Whereas her fiancé is the opposite of them — untainted, guarded, stable, given a lot of attention/care by his family, so she feels a lightness and joy with him without any of the darkness in her. And y’all are right the kidnapping thing is never justifiable even if you understand the characters and empathise with them, but it gets the plot moving I guess 😭
