2024-11-21 08:49:46 +0000 UTCSo I'll try to explain Reinhard much I can. Everyone basically has Reinhard on a pedestal. To Reinhard, he doesn't have any autonomy other then being a hero. He was born to basically just carry the burden of that title and sword saint. Everyone expects so much out of him that they don't ever truly consider his feelings. Just like Puck said to Reinhard in Season 2 on Subaru's 2nd trial on S2.Ep12 "you are a hero Reinhard, but a hero is all you can ever be" he wasn't praising him, he was mocking him that he can't be anything ever but be a hero. You can even hear Subaru say this in Emilia's third trial in Season 2 of seeing the sad futures that await her of him saying exactly the same words. Subaru saying he would make up the flaws he has is a breath of fresh air for him because it's first time someone genuinely cared about the weaknesses he has. Basically Subaru is like Batman and Reinhard is Superman and no matter how strong Superman is, he can't save everyone and he can't be the ideal man everyone wants him to be in the end. Everyone is starting to look at Subaru the same way as Reinhard of him being Superman and no matter how good Subaru is with Rbd and being able to change fate, he can't save everyone either and are expecting to much out of him which is exactly the whole drama between Subaru and Al before that speech. Al was sympathizing with him because he let's on more then you think.

2024-11-21 01:12:50 +0000 UTCWhen Reinhardt looked funny at Subaru, one possibility I took it as was because he just moments before recieved the power to see what blessings people have. And that was the first moment he looked properly at Subaru after that, though it might also have been somewhat a reaction to his hand. But there's definitely a chance he was just taken aback by noticing and realizing whatever crazy powers/curses Subaru's been blessed with and gathered up inside him.
