My camera has failed me
I’m scrambling to go get a new one and finish what I was recording
I used up a lot of time trying to figure out if I should upgrade or get the same model should I have a back up camera should I go to Sony all these questions
I need it by the weekend for sure.
And because my camera does not respond to the on and off button I can’t access the menu, I can’t update the firmware, can’t do a reset
I removed the battery for 30 minutes to force a reset
I’ve hit random buttons that might trigger a reset

2024-11-15 21:03:37 +0000 UTCThe A7 series is pretty much the best of the best anyways. (for what you use it for) Even if no immediate upgrade is available, getting a new one would probably be your best bet. Then trying to have the old one repaired for back-up reasons lol

2024-11-14 23:43:54 +0000 UTCI dunno shi about Cameras, but as they say if it aint broke no need to fix it (granted this one is broken). You could also do one upgrade as your main and get the same cam as your backup (if this is cheaper now and finances allow)

2024-11-14 22:44:10 +0000 UTCI thought so too. I have the Sony a7s iii. This model doesn’t have an upgrade until next year that I know of unless I change models altogether I already have the most recent upgrade for its type
