Imagine your whole comments section comes in acting like Julius and the knights and shitting on Subaru, you would probably be like everybody hates this show, I shouldn't have even bothered watching it.

Crunchyroll did a mistranslation on the "he wants to see all the girls he knows smile because of how much cuter it is" He didn't say that technically, he was referring to Emilia and he said ""I know her smile is so much cuter than that! I want to be able to say that!"" The reason why he saying that is because he want them (the people) and Emilia to smile and knowing theirs hope still. Also on top because Subaru knows more then anyone that Emilia is someone who sucks at crying because of how she could never truly smile at most times and were fake smiles. It's why Emilia says in the episode, "I can hear your voice, so I'm fine" when she opened the window.
