Moonlight has a similar moment with him losing his fingers and his people dying. This one is a little more feel good. Moonlight 2ed season actually got nasty 2ed half. Slow as hell up to that point world/people building. This show I think does a good job of focusing on characters and moving on rather than jumping around like some do.

It was such a shock and I loved how it reminds you there's still at least grounding in the show they normally operate by. Otherwise so man aspects are super generic, the villains all being giggle-to-themselves, skills, etc. But ultimately it's wholesome sword dad, his VA, and her cuteness &VA as must-protecc character that put it over the line for me

2024-10-26 05:13:15 +0000 UTCi really appreciate the writing for this show, even though its somewhat predictable theres fights like this one where you really dont know how theyre gonna get out of it, classic shonen battle storytelling. also even though Shishou is OP, Fran still carries her weight in the fights.
