Why don't you guys watch link click?
Added 2024-10-25 19:18:24 +0000 UTCCurious of why folks on patreon arent watching Link Click but i read folks say there is not much to watch? Have you given it a chance? I already know it was underrated, hence my hestiance to cover it.
but its a high quality show.
Normally I don't ask, i just accept that folks dont watch it...
People complain that we watch generic shows...lol but generic shows OFTEN get views more often than not compared to high quality outside the box shows...GENERALLY SPEAKING
I'm a bit disappointed...Addtionally season 2, has some of the best hand to hand combat I've seen outside your typical shonen fights that STILL lack in this type of choregraphy...Folks is actally BOXING..THROWING HANDS! PROPERLY!

2024-10-27 20:45:36 +0000 UTCthe very first reason is I've just been generally busy with life recently and i dont have as much extra time as I used to so I have to be picky about what I watch with my limited time. second is, c-anime or donghua is generally lower priority on my list unless it's a concept I really like. I like the usual transmigrator/cultivation slop or shows like king's avatar. I also really don't like chinese dubs for some reason. But that's not the only reason I don't watch link click. I also generally don't like tragic stories because it stays in mind for too long and it stresses me out. I saw episode 1 and the ending was just too tragic for me. Last reason is shows that don't catch my attention of the first ep or 2 generally go to the bottom of watch-when-i-have-nothing-else-to-watch pile and I can go back to it when im bored. Crazy but shows like steins gate and higurashi went to this pile a long long time ago but i ended up liking it anyway so i will probably give it a chance but maybe when im not so busy or im just bored.

2024-10-26 23:00:44 +0000 UTCI didn't realize so many people weren't willing to give it a chance. That's unfortunate. It's a 12/10 for me. It's the first anime I recommend when people ask. I stayed geeked episode to episode because of all the things you don't see coming and trying to figure out how things are connected. I haven't seen or heard anyone that's watched it and not thoroughly enjoyed it. But I get it we all have different tastes in what we like.

I *specifically* like Japanese Animation and sometimes western live action. Even for anime, I've almost always read the manga or it's got to be crazy hyped up. There's so much content that I just don't have the bandwidth to check out random stuff for a few episodes like the old days.

2024-10-26 00:30:33 +0000 UTCi think two big reasons why people may not like/watch it is one, they just haven't heard of it & aren't interested in starting a new & underrated series, and two...simply that it's chinese, which in my opinion, is just ignorant as all hell. personally, link click is one of my favorite series & i'm enjoying every reaction of yours to it! i actually really appreciate that you guys don't solely focus on what's new & popular and dive into some more niche stuff, as well.

But right now, I'm watching about 18 different anime, and not just the "mainstream" ones like "Bleach", "Arifureta", "Shangri-La", or "Dandadan", but also ones like "Let This Grieving Soul Retire", "MF Ghost", "Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions", "Tonbo", and "The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party" to name a few... And I'm not avoiding it because it's a Chinese anime, I've seen good Chinese anime, 2 of my favorite Chinese anime being "The Daily Life of the Immortal King" and "K". And I'm getting ready to watch another Chinese anime the 2nd season of "A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized", which is streaming on Bilibili right now...

Even in media that they are successfully targetting men with, such as gacha games, it's standard for them to use JP dubbing as the default in their games, like in Blue Archive or Genshin.

It not on Crunchyroll for obvious reasons and I cannot find it on any of the pirate sites I frequent. Pretty sure I could find it and I know it's peak, it just that the accessibility is shot.

Honestly I kinda blame that title, which kinda sounds like the kind that a fanfiction author who's lazy would come up with. Particularly so when compared to titles like Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, which now that I've found a moment to bring myself up to speed on I'm planning on checking out your reaction to it as that would help me with the wait between episodes (I'm quite enjoying the series BTW.) On the other hand the title Link Click doesn't really have anything to draw an audience in, rather coming off as the creator trying (and failing) to prompt the audience to follow their web link to their shop page to purchase their overpriced merchandise, which I think to many is a turn off. At the least it was to me. In summary I believe that the reason why Link Click is not doing so well is because it's suffering under the same naming faux pas that brought down the Wii U. Now I'm always looking for something new, particularly with so many of these series having such long production times in between seasons. As such since you seem to value Link Click so greatly I may just get around to eventually checking it out. However, that would be a bit down the road when my plate's emptier and I'm hungry for something new. Hope you understand, and thanks for your good work.

People seem to drop this show so quickly, which is crazy because If people just watched the first season, they would definitely be hooked. Like you said it has some of the best choreographed fights out there.

I’ll give it another go after this season cools down. Also the only Chinese anime I’ve watched and enjoyed have been “the daily life of the immortal king” and the goat “the kings avatar” aka quan zhi gao shou lol

One deterrent is some of my friends thought it was BL (though the show does have obvious Fujoshi bait). I also had several friends tell me it's "too Chinese", and this is coming from some of my Chinese friends. In my head I'm like "N*gga! You watch anime freakin' subbed!!!"
