Honestly at this point feel like the author just went with the Harem tag full steam ahead and throw constantly new girls at Bell.

It wasnt weird at all to have multiple wives just a few hundred/thousands of years ago. But IMO this tension of "who will be chosen" is definitely part of what makes the show so awesome and fun.
