The little girl mentions the college guy first and then the middle schooler second. It may a typical American thing but looking at it from left to right made it very clear to me. Again, I know it's late as hell but it was around the 30 minute mark in the discussion.

That is considered 3rd year middle school oing into first year high school in Japan. Weird I know but if the university age kid knocked her up it kind of makes more sense by his age when we see him...maybe.🤔

I assume it's a somewhat autobiographical story, or derived from his story. He has Akane as Ai filling his role falling down the cliff, so he's modified it in some way.

We have Aqua living life now, Akane who's so close but is sidetracked now that she's with Aqua, and Ruby who knows what Aqua was ORIGINALLY trying to do but isn't anymore. Like Director said, I think it's only a matter of time before Ruby notices Aqua isn't really doing anything in that direction anymore and the situation blows up in everyone's face. I took the ending as the woman being another one of those entertainers that has the "star factor" that he probably slept with (and then killed) like Ai. The brother-in-law a few episodes ago was talking about how their father was probably sleeping with a bunch of entertainers and producing a bunch of talented children, and I think the ending would fit that theme. Gonna have to wait and see now though.
