Kind of like how the Irish wear the Claddadgh ring a certain way (upside down, on a certain finger, etc.) to show whether they're single, dating or married. in South Korea, couples that are dating will buy rings to bring luck to their relationship as well as show others that they're taken. So it's a 'lets date' ring instead of 'lets get married' ring.
